"1. Victor Olofsson has had a long year. Go back to the spring of 2023, when Olofsson was a healthy scratch in some of the Sabres’ most important games. Over the summer, Olofsson was the subject of trade rumors and wondered where he would be playing this season. Then he got to training camp with the Sabres just after he and his wife had their first child, in early September. Olofsson was on top of the world away from the rink but ended up in a similar spot in the lineup. He was often a healthy scratch.
But in the past month, Olofsson has been one of Buffalo’s best offensive players. After not getting a point in October, Olofsson had 9 points in 11 November games. Since re-entering the lineup on Nov. 4, he leads the Sabres in points per 60 minutes. He has two goals in his first four games in December, including Buffalo’s third goal in Thursday’s win. It was a perfect shot off the rush and a much-needed insurance marker for Buffalo.
Last week, Olofsson mentioned it’s tough to contribute in the way he’s used to when he’s getting eight or nine minutes a night. So he has tried to focus on doing little things right in those minutes to build confidence in his game. Now the points are coming, and Olofsson’s game looks more complete, too. Against Boston, he dropped down to block a shot and broke up another play in the defensive zone. More than anything, Olofsson, who scored 28 goals last season, is glad to be contributing within a group of teammates he’s grown close with over the years.
“I love it here,” Olofsson said last week. “I love everyone in the organization. It’s a business. It’s tough if you’re not playing a lot. But I can’t ask for anything more than I’m getting right now."

He seems to be taking it in stride, good for him. He has played better and as much as I hope that simply allows us to move him for a return, credit where credit is due. |

Devon Levi received a call from the NHL recently telling the Sabres' goalie that he needed to take his meditation routine elsewhere.
"It kind of sucks. That's kind of the spot I like, but it is what it is." |

“I know Charlie was surprised by the hit,” Montgomery told reporters, per team-provided video. “I couldn’t tell if it was an elbow or if it was clean. So, I haven’t reviewed it.”

Not at all. I want him to play well. The frustration comes when his effort isn't there and knowing he's blocking Kulich atm.
I've gave up on getting anything back for him at the TDL last year.

It kills me that Olofsson tries for 2 months a year. The other 5 are worthless. Good for him if he keeps it up. It benefits all.

It definitely was on him and I give him credit for turning it around. Hes looked great since returning. Playing a full game, staying hot while playing with lesser players.
Hot take...... Trade Skinner before him |

They're going to do it. I just know it's going to happen somehow.
I'm thinking a 4th round picksky and Tatar as a cap dump from Colorado for a half retained Olo. |

Was surprised Marchand's shot on Joker didn't exhort a bigger response though. Shouldn't have been Joker coming back to confront him, not sure who was on the ice though. Marchand can scrap, but he's a midget, someone should've got in his face. |
