Saw an interview not too long ago with Daryl and when the interviewer said something along the lines of "your songwriting partner" he was quick to correct them that it's mostly a business relationship and that he (Daryl) was responsible for their hits ("all that 80's stuff was me").

Been saying for a bit that I thought R. Johnson could be a good partner for Dahlin because of his skating. Depending on what happens the next couple weeks and if the Sabres crap the bed(really hope not) I wouldn't mind seeing!

RyJo should be playing with Dahl I agree, hes got the speed, the skill, the passing ability. I wonder how much Power influenced his decision to come cause we all thought he wasn't signing here.

In Joker we trust then. But yeah, the dark years of drafting were truly abysmal. I'm talking about that whole choosing Marcus Davidsson over Jason Robertson type thing we always seemed to do...you know, the Asplund over Kyrou thing...that Guhle over Andersson and Dunn thing...

We can certainly spread the minutes out better. Dahl doesnt have to be playing 25+ every night. Not even most nights.

That 2nd round redraft is going to be painful. There's about 15 impact players coming from that. Lane Hutson is going to be a freak too.

He was certainly ranked higher than Rosen. Such a terrible pick. Found money in the Risto trade desperately needing bigger forwards and they blew it.

That makes better sense, that he fell due to the year off and unknowns attached to his name. But don't get the top10 projection after a 30pt in 53g effort in 2019.

You having him at 14 is comical. Cause there was nothing to base it off compared to his peers.

Im almost certain he was viewed as a top 10 pick the year before covid hit. So he probably was ranked higher.

But your shooting in the dark, everyone here has the hindsight now. Rosen was a reach at the time but he looks to be a good player. They went with a guy they had actual data on and liked. I have no complaints.

Dallas took a shot on a skilled player. At #24 it was questionable but definitely not a reach and worth the risk.
