We drafted 2 big skilled players the last 2 years but okay

We can certainly spread the minutes out better. Dahl doesnt have to be playing 25+ every night. Not even most nights.

I feel like they took some of dahlin’s fanciness and tuch’s skill out of the game plan.

Sabres played a straight forward attack , get pucks to the net , less skilled game and it worked

That makes better sense, that he fell due to the year off and unknowns attached to his name. But don't get the top10 projection after a 30pt in 53g effort in 2019.

Seems pretty reasonable.

Every draft projection was based off him not playing that whole year.

You having him at 14 is comical.Cause there was nothing to base it off compared to his peers.

He was certainly ranked higher than Rosen. Such a terrible pick. Found money in the Risto trade desperately needing bigger forwards and they blew it.

I think it was a pretty weak draft compared to some drafts , maybe the 1st wasn’t worth as much that year?

Definitely a top5gm type trade

Wallstedt was definitely BPA at 14 in the 2020 draft.

Cornato going to Calgary the pick before pissed me off.

Johnston going at 23 was definitely the best of the bunch.

Aside from him though, nobody else has made an impact at the NHL level just yet that they could have picked.

Meh, that's not something to write home about. Xavier Bourgault had 71 in 63 games that same year and he made it to pick 22. I'd have to look at other OHL guys tbh, I know Guenther was ppg though, he made it top10 obviously. It's respectable, but not some jaw dropping total either IMO.

Wallstedt was definitely BPA at 14 in the 2020 draft.
