THEY LOST! Everywhere G goes the team loses. You can put up all the stats you want, the guy is a loser!
- jd250

You said that no team has ever played this well with Giroux on it than this team is playing now!

You literally make a fool of yourself, every single day.

Your words were that Couturier is fried and needs to sit out. That he can't keep up with the play from the opening puck drop and can't skate. He's injured and is not right. Just the other day.

My words were that despite still not being 100% back to where he was, supported by Couturier's statement, Couturier has been playing pretty well.

Who statement is more accurate?

As far as Tortorella is concerned. Eventually you'll get hit over the head and wake up. It will take forever but you'll turn eventually. Then act like you knew it all along. It is inevitable.

- MJL

I said specifically that if Couts was hurt I would rest him for a game or two, because against Pittsburgh the other night he did looked fried. Last night he looked much better. BTW, I'm not the only one that noticed this. In fact just last night in the post game Couts acknowledged that he is still trying to find his legs and his game. I'm just glad he is not injured.

The whole point is to develop the team in a rebuild with a focus on young players development.
- MJL

Thats on Briere, Torts job is to coach and get wins. We didnt need stall, which wouldve given Zamula more playing time. Same with some of our depth forwards.

That is correct, no team with G as the centerpiece of the team has played as well as this team is right now. A true statement!

Your exact posts were quoted last night on the thread. No spin can change what you posted. It is part of the public record. That is not what you said. I can link them again if necessary.

The facts were supplied to you that showed that you're wrong.

You continue to show that you have absolutely no ability whatsoever to properly evaluate a player, coach or GM or anything in hockey.

You're right, you're not the only one. There was another fool who agreed with you.

Don't believe it, but ok..yes I would.

I would then let it be know Draisaitl is available and take a boatload of picks and prospects for him.

But didn't you say that goalies don't get much of a return and a second round pick is the most to expect back? So that would mean that Draisaitl is only worth a second round pick?
Sorry if I am mistaken and it was someone else commenting on Hart's worth

- TheFreak

I didn't say anything about a return on Hart because frankly I don't want the Flyers to trade Hart. Hart is just entering his prime years as a goalie and I think his timeline fits perfectly with this rebuild. Given this team's history in net, they have the guy in Hart, they should not give him up, even for a player like Leon Draisaitl who I really like BTW.

Now is that nice to call another poster on this forum a fool just because he/she is smart and agrees with me? But what I meant dimwit is national pundits have also wondered about Cout's injuries.

Provide one source that claims that Couturier is injured?

Just another fallacy that you can't support. Pure fantasy. All of the available factual information shows that your comments on Couturier are completely unfounded and unsupported.

I seldom go to games, but I went to last night’s. Being able to see the whole ice really gives you a better appreciation of how well Coots is playing. Other than TK, maybe, he was the best player on the ice. Definitely did not look fried.

Hmmm .. and who was the GM that put a team together that even a prime Gretzky couldn't fix?

Look, as I told you yesterday, I'm sorry you are wrong all the time, and get embarrassed by me daily. It's not my intent to embarrass you, but you kinda bring it on yourself with your monotonous posts about what a bad coach Torts is and how the entire Flyers leadership should be fired after only 20 games into the season. You need a pretty heavy counter weight to stop you from dragging this entire forum into oblivion, and luckily for you and everyone, I'm here to be that counter balance.

Pens thread is comedy gold! Still under the impression they are a solid playoff team.

It’s like watching a person laughing in slo mo right before a ball hits them right in the sack.

This really has been an entertaining hockey season so far. The Flyers will keep winning and delude themselves into buyers and the Pens keep losing and think they’re a legit contender.

If I was a Pens fan, I'd be concerned about Malkin. He is a shadow of himself. The Pens are a one line team with a shockingly bad PP.

G in Ottawa is not the center piece…that would be Stutzl and Tkchuck. Along with three outstanding d in Chabot, Sanderson and Chychrun. G fits in great as a complementary player who can play top 6 on any team in the NHL…Fletcher that dumb (frank) valued a guy like Hayes over G when he signed Hayes to that stupid contract.
I will be the first on here to say….after the Sens fire their coach this team is going to take off. If ever a squad needed a new voice it’s them…..And that’s not a knock on DJ…that’s just the way it is.

They have been saying his whole career, he can't skate, he is slow, he looks like he can't keep up. Then all he does is get everywhere he needs to be on the ice before anyone else. He will never be a speed demon but his long strides, while making him look like he can't keep up, are deceiving. Because he obviously keeps up. Hockey sense trumps everything.

Did you read the bold before posting?
I have followed Hart, like Sanheim, since they were both in juniors. I know Hart is a top flight goalie. But I don't think, on a proper rebuild in the first year, that he does fit into the age and timeline that the Flyers SHOULD have in front of them, and his salary would be a bit of an issue for them as the rest of the team grows and develops. We also have a strong goalie prospect base, and so we can try to offset the loss of Hart better than in other years. Ersson does not seem like too much of a step down from Hart at this point. He has adjusted well after a tough start to the season for him, including his training habits for a a player who usually plays alot, and now plays as a back up to a work horse who plays 50-60 games a year. He adapted, and is a solid option for the Flyers everytime they take the ice right now.

I just think you put it all together, and it might be the best time to move Hart for a return, especially if that is Draisaitl (doubtful)

Was thinking 2010, and the season when he had "the shift" against the Pens.
