O'Brien is not permanently injured. He has been healthy for a number of years and didn't earn an ELC. Now signed an AHL contract.

A player is best evaluated over a large sample of games, not one game. How don't you know that? Based on these comments and your posting history. Just more evidence that you don't have a clue how to evaluate players.
You don't even realize what you post. Who has ever said that either player is a top line player? That's how out of it you are.

Based on what, you player evaluation form? You make these statements as if they are facts. Show me the evidence that clearly shows Zamula is already a better NHL defenseman than Marc Staal.

Depending on the extension, swapping Ristolainen out with a Walker extension wouldn’t be terrible. One of the biggest mistakes Hextall made was having awful vets to pair with his young defenders.

That would be ideal. I'd love to make that swap but moving out Ristolainen would be difficult and the Flyers would take it on the chin.

Hextall didn't have awful vets on defense. He added solid stop gap players in Streit, Del Zotto, Gudas and Nick Schultz. None of those players were awful

Interesting to see Ristolainen mentioned as a potential trade candidate. I thought he’d have too much term and money left, but he seemingly fits what someone like Toronto needs.

This is Torts team now and might well be for a few more years. To come on here and whine 24/7 about who’s sitting, who’s playing etc is getting old . Typing Frost and Zamula need to play, we frickin get it. You even said it yourself, this could take years. Find another team, you might not be so negative and miserable every single day on here.

Well since Toronto is likely getting some massive relief this year for Klingberg LTIR, they might be able to pretty much take on RRs salary. If they believe a physical RHD like RR is the key to stabilizing their blue line… well Leafs make an offer. Maybe their front office overvalues him 😳.

Klingberg's deal is a one year deal. If they get the rest of the season of LTIR relief, that's just for this year. Ristolainen has 3 more years on his deal after this year. LTIR relief from Klingberg doesn't help with those future years.
