Not so good.

My organic food delivery was done at 2h20 in the morning...guy's truck got stuck in a snow bank somewhere.

I'm tired.

I seriously don't understand people who live in big cities now.

I'm so glad to live in a more rural area where the cost of living is half of what it is in Montreal.

Every company is hiring, just move to Drummondville where houses and rents are a fraction of the price and wages are the same.

Defiitly moving in the subburbs in 9-10 years

got 2 houses in Laval, sell them, get a mansion "en campagne" for the same price is the plan haha

I pay more now for a (frank)ing oversized 1 bedroom than I have for ANY mortgage in my life. And I’ve had a 2400, 3300 and 4300sq ft homes. This is NOT sustainable. Cost of living couldn’t keep up before this……future isn’t too bright. Put your shades away…….until the Optobus is rolling full steam ahead

Really? Can you afford a house on your own? Can you afford a car plus a house on your own? Can you fill that gas tank full AND get a grocery cart full of groceries while you own a house and car on your own??

Look at the macro Pat. This country has been selling off its natural resources for decades and we buy it back three-fold. We are pussies by nature and JUST wait until the fresh water crisis keeps going.

Sitting in front of your computer doesn’t give you the full picture.

Have you ever owned a home??

- Snots33_77

yes yes and yes ?

I dont want to over simplify but I'm always annoyed with people that complains about the cost of everything but they have an Iphone 14 with a 89$ data plan

I've had data for the first time 15 months ago, I'm on a laptop 10 hours a day, there wifi everywhere, and oh : theonly reason i have it is my company is paying for it now, lol.

On a more serious note people are terrible at making a budget, it should be taught in highschool !

yes, I'm aware there are problems, if you think we're headed to the gutter, that's your thing, I guess I'll naively pretend here that we can surmount most of these issues and not become a third-world country.

I attribute a lot of these issues to greed.

When COVID hit, a lot of corporations saw it as an opportunity to jack-up prices, which never came back down, and have set a president for continually jacking up prices to increase profit margins.

In every single industry.

So yes, perhaps part of the crisis is exacerbated by more people, but the root cause is greed specifically by corporations and the demand for more (record breaking) returns from investors.

I increased my weekly ( I would have paid daily if they let me) payments on my house every single year from 27 to 42 years old (last year) and its now paid for.

little increases, but every little moves made a cummulative difference in the end.

That logic can be transfered on many things. First time I ever allowed myself to ahve a new car was at 39 only... and i'll roll that thing at least 10 years

Nope, but then I didnt do that on a crazy high salary either is one of my points

I grew up poor and was working at 14, I know the value of money and spending doesnt make me happy ( well it does for some things, but you get what I'm saying), meaning I don't need to have the latest TV model as an example

I bought a very good one at the time ( Sharp Aquos) and will ride it until it dies

We have a very similar story my friend. I also grew up poor, starting working at 7 for a crazy Italian father for free and had to work for everything I have. Put myself through hockey as a goalie at 15, bought my first guitar etc put myself through college 3 times etc etc.

I’m by no means hurting and have 6 figures in savings and investments. But a divorce hurts and losing half hurts and starting all over is another kick in the pants. Thank god I do t have any (frank)ing kids!!! Just Bernese Mountain Dogs for me!!

I e had the same plasma tv for 10 years now! lol

It cost less and it's grown locally (ferme Lufa) and it taste 1000x than anything I can find at the regular grocerie stores.
