the easy answer is yes : Dach would make the PP much better than lets say having Anderson out there !
- Xizord

And that lone gets them a lot more wins?

well, I would argue a healthy Dach in the lineup probably does give them a few more wins then they have right now, he's a key piece to this team for sure...

"wrong" I'm not sure, but there are definitely a bunch of linguistic variations depending on where you live.

more important than the PP, without Dach Habs are way too easy to play againts. shot down Suzuki and you're home free.
- fidopro

Does not solve the terrible PK, the way below average goaltending and the shots for / against issue. I get what you are implying, but the amount of productivity that Dach would have had to bring to make a significant difference is way beyond anything he has shown so far.

That is not a knock against Dach, but more of a knock on the depth and experience of the team.

Again, we are talking maybe more 1-2 wins, not 5-6-7+.

Probably.

But enough wins to make that significant a difference?

5 regulation wins so far this season, so maybe a few of those OT wins become regular season wins instead, so how much incremental on top of that?

Not poopting on the team, just pointing out reality.

Baby steps.

It will click eventually.

Might click faster if they brought in better assistant coaches....

it will click when they bring in a new coach. like Edmonton did.
they were also trying to play a man to man defense. the new coach changed that and re-established a zone coverage. look at their results since.
so either MSL wakes the f** up or beubye.

I have said that MSL is the right coach for right now.

But unless he improves as a coach, he will not be the guy for when they want to win. He can start with selecting better assistant coaches.

I'm under the impression that they'll probably finish the season with the guys they have in place, but changes will be made afterwards.

I don't think he necessarly has to go, just change his defense strategy!
it's really up to him. maybe he'll see the light eventually.

well I agree he does need more experience to help him out, doesn't mean he's a bad coach by all means. for example the senaturds just hired Jacques Martin again loll

judging by this fanbase even back then I feel people were still finding ways to complain if they lost more than 15 games during a season, before winning the cup again lol
