First? - Edit nope 2nd. lol
From last blog:
Didn't see it discussed on here but sounds like Keefe lost it a bit in the Leafs practice.......
As the article points out maybe he has been told by Tre he can take the kid gloves off and tell it like it is with this team. It's also possible he is just frustrated with the same mistakes over and over again and the players have just plain tuned him out.
Guess we will see.

Soto basically a Yankee...for the trade to happen before Ohtani signing I would imagine the Jays feel pretty confident about their chances.
The Jays could quite possibly know its down to Dodgers and them, a 50% bet makes sense. |

He was ask that question after practice and he said that he wasn't happy and that it was hard to simulate real game action in practice

Damnit Michael ...
reply to fitty-shade ..
2-0 Pool ....we're hangin' in there. Our boogey-team Palace next weekend though.
Then we get to beat the poop out of Manu'er the following week.
Back to Leafs ... My worry with Hanifin is some teams are overating him. I'm not sure he's not just a guy who's slightly worse then Rielly at most things but is going to cost a fortune to acquire and then another 8 x 7.5$ to hang on to.
I'm not saying he isn't waaaaay better then the poop we currently have but I just wonder if there isn't a better option(s). His warts seem to be the same kind of warts we already have ..."isn't physical enough" ..."needs to be better in his own zone". Great skater, first pass, but .....
Tanev isn't nearly as good but he does do the things we seem to need more of ..especially in the playoffs. Push-back, defend, PK, block shots, will-to-win kind of poop.

I think the Soto dynamic was that Yankees were front runners, backed off cause Padres wanted too much and then came back and said, ok we’ll pay.
Cool that Jays are down to the wire for Ohtani. Who knows what the odds are. |

Brad Treliving on
@OverDrive1050
when asked about Ohtani news:
"For that amount of dough, I wonder if he could play right D, or 3rd line center for us. Maybe take some draws too."
Bradly wants a C too |

If I were Soto I'd let the Ohtani drama play out and then see if the losers of those sweepstakes are willing to go bananas. |

We are on a 104 point pace with half our D corps out.
Perhaps it’s not as bad as you think?

Well, with Tree having a few extra bucks in his pocket now. Who's he targeting? The easy choice is Tanev it seems, but could he move some more money to hunt a bigger target?
His comments about Ohtani suggest he'd like an upgrade at 3C as well. |

Who was it that needed a liver transplant? Wedgie? Zezel?
I have a liver that you can have. It's damaged, but still functions (barely).

I wonder who put the NHL schedule together? What a crap shoot. Ottawa not past the 20 games played list and the Leafs with two long breaks already, thanks to going to Salmingland and another 5 day break a week later. It sure is going to cause a condensed schedule, going forward. I'm guessing that Treliving will grab some 7th defenseman somewhere and call vistory. Typical Leafy stuff. No Willy signed and none of his UFA's working out. He appears to be a bust as GM. Maybe MLS&E will clean house, after this year and boot Shanahan and the rest of the underachieving management clowns to the curb. Too bad that we're wasting the prime years of our core players with nothing to show. |

Klingturd goes to Robidas Island. Hard to believe the guy is washed at the tender young age of 31. I have dress socks older than that. The guy is too soft to cure the Leafs ills. As the profound wordsmith Skalapy has said, again and again : Leafs need BIG HARD D.
I keep hearing low-level trades that are lateral moves. None that address the Leafs gaping hole. Only a towering man-mountain of mean D can fix that. ✊ |

My liver is good since I barely drink anymore, but I have some excess pressure in my bloodstream if anybody is running low. |
