I still can’t see them making the playoffs and if they don’t, try your best to get another first. Draft dmen at the draft and we could also see if we can flip some prospects/ younger players to get a top 4 d although they are rare. Hedge your bet by drafting and trading.

See, I like it when you respond like this. We can have a conversation. I don't mean it to be hyperbole, I just mean Frost is a playmaker which means he always seems to be looking to make the pass. He has got to be more selfish, especially when on that play he was the one being set up by Foerster instead of the other way around.

The Flyers have two 1sts and two 2nds this year. I suspect they will get a late 1st round pick for Walker, otherwise they will keep him. So they have plenty of high picks, albeit in a weaker draft, to get some good players. Top 4 defenseman can come anywhere in the 1st or 2nd rounds. If you want a stud I agree with you that you want to be picking ideally in the top 5, but I don't believe there are any projected studs in this draft class. That is why I think the Flyers need to look to FA or trade to get a top pairing defenseman. The Flyers have some really good prospects in their system, I think if they are patient the right deal will come along.

Dumba will probably be the best UFA Dman in the summer. They would have to move Risto first before adding more salary cap to the blueline thru a trade or free agency. I'm curious how they beef up the blue line and center over the next couple of years.

Frost with 17 minutes of TOI tonight. He had one shot on goal and no hits. He had 3 blocked shots and one giveaway. At least he won 70% of his faceoffs I suppose. His game is just not that inspiring. Looks like Torts got the memo that Sanheim was getting too much ice time. He was 4th on the Flyers defense in ice time tonight. Good job!
