while I totally understand your point, relitavely speaking I guess his salary makes sense for the league he's in... we obviously don't see those kinds of numbers in the NHL but if baseball players can become billionaires it's because of how the wealth is distributed around their league, and it sure seems they're making a poop ton of profits.
when you really think about it, even hockey players (who are probably the "poorest" of pro-athletes) are making wayyy too (frank)ing much. heck these millions and millions of dollars should be given to brain surgeons or scientists doing research to find a cure for cancer, not to a guy that pushes a puck around with a stick.
that being said, I do agree the "well deserved" thing is sort of pushing it considering how much (frank)ing money it is, oy vey lol. but if that's his worth in the sport he plays in, then so be it I guess. - Pat1993
At the end of the day, it is what it is, unfortunately.
It makes zero sense to me. And the more this becomes “normalized”, then the further we are lost. |

well it's been this way for quite a while now. unfortunately there aren't thousands and thousands of people willing to pay good money to watch a doctor taking care of sick kids in a hospital, for example (that would be kinda weird anyway lol).

it's okay, no need to elaborate on why you should wear a foil helmet during golden showers.

Hahahaha!! They used to do that in the 1920’s. They would hold surgeries in a theatre setting for learning purposes, while they did unspeakable things to living people on the table. All in ten name of medicine…. |

I get what you're referring to, but unless I'm mistaken I don't think there were a lot of common folks going to those presentations, it was probably more medical students or other specialists wanting to learn something new or whatever.
although it would be kinda special watching a live open-heart surgery while some other dude sells you beer and snacks. |

Primeau looking sharp so far. - Pat1993
he's been very good since day 1 of camp. except for 1 period.
nice to see him solid, square.
want to see how he will react after allowing one. |

when he's really focused, his style reminds me a bit of how Price played, with his sound positioning and coverage (not comparing the talent obviously lol)

pretty much the same story every game Pat. they rank something like 31st for SOG againts. without their goalies they'd be dead last in the standings. |

depends, but the way they're starting their games has been an issue for sure.
also it isn't helping that they're spending so much time killing penalties instead of trying to generate offense. |

Not sure what more Slaf can do to get on the scoreboard.
NoGoal Caufield and Suzuki always looking to pass... Slaf has been by far the best player on that line since he was added.
Also, 17 shots against? All those turnovers in the defensive zone?
Yeeeesh.
0-0 is pretty damn flattering. |

oh yes, penalties. a recurring problem that was first identified over a year ago.
