so far I would say yes. +/-
if Habs want to eventually win a cup... it will take a lot better than Caufield and Suzuki. they would make for a good 2nd line imo. if they're the best you have... you're in trouble, and not winning anytime soon. I get that they can still improve and get better, but so far this year I don't see any progession.
when Slaf is your best player.... that tells you something is wrong.
so hopefully Slaf and Dach can become our 1st line.
and keep drafting early!

They need 2 more top 6 players.... CC /Suzuki and Dach/Slaf, a winger for each line. Or 2 for Dach, if yo want Slaf on the first...

yep. and they need these 4 to continue to improve.
65 pts for your #1C is simply not enough.

they gave them first line money for sure

not sure I would still count on Dach at this point with all his injuries he had already

Suzuki is pretty good but needs more help. Slaf will get better and better. Too bad Newhook got injured cause he was starting to produce

This is a down year for Caufield, nothing to help Suzuki. Suzuki still produce around the same pace of 65 points on a rebuilding team. Huge drop when it comes to goals pace for Caufield. Maybe because of the operation.

I said that more than once at this point, but they went and got another C last draft with Newhook

I think they are aware of the situation but they still have to keep hoping. The guy has skills and size. But it is what it is.

on how many teams around the league would Suzuki be the #1C?
you have enough of one hand to count them, even for a chicken.
we all like the kid, but seriously... it will take a lot better imo.

Maybe Roy can be one. He's exiting a major slump with Laval but he was dominating for a 20 year old at the start of the season.

they gave them first line money, you can hate all you want

with the cap, dont think you can have him and Caufield on the the 2nd

take a look around the league

you should be able to look for yourself and count, you are not a chicken

two possible options yes. cap is supposed to be 87.7 next year
not sure they need to trade them, there's room to add 2 other players at 8M once bad contracts are over.
