it was really hard back then. it seems pretty easy now by comparison. wrestlers worked almost every day of the week back then. sometimes twice in a day. and they drove to all the towns themselves. now they might wrestle twice a week. sometimes they go weeks without wrestling at all.

I watched a Jean Ferré (Andre the the Giant for Americans) documentary a few years ago ... his life wasn't a bed of roses believe me.

my favorite thing about andre is that he apparently just drank beers all day and night long. there was an old story that he once drank like 150 in a day.

I think they would have to rebuild either way, but staying in the hunt for a cup is not working for them

huh, he's a +12... his horrible pass earlier made me think he was far from that. still wouldn't have wanted him with that contract and injury history.

He makes poop plays, but he always did. Though it seems like people want this to fail

but this all happened because they kept trying to be a contender in the now

I like Matheson but he was not moving the needle for them

but its not like Petry or Karlson have made their team better

I don't really care, I just find the risk has always been bigger than the reward.

He'd be better on a team rising, but no one wants to waste what is left of Pitts core

Their Cup runs are done for a while ... it's apparent to everyone except people in Pittsburgh.

They had a great run (much much better than ours) but I think at this point management is just trying to keep the veterans happy for their remaining years.
