I agree that the immediate Toronto fan reaction to getting McDavid would be bigger but Ohtani would be a much bigger Canadian sports story. In my Toronto-ish view, I think Ohtani would be bigger - bigger impact on the team and in terms of the biggest player (by a wider margin than McDavid) choosing the one Canadian team in an American sport
