The science said at the time, masks saved lives. - washedup20
Funny,
I questioned it hard during the whole pandemic and had several debates with various folks..some in the Medical field who were buying in big time...especially on the side of protecting one's self, rather than reducing the spread to others.
They were very very vocal and belligerent at times.
Now that it has scientifically been proven to havenlow/no benefit ... they are amazingly quiet.
Go figure.

And who decides what is that? You?
I lived in Europe 10 years. Not one European said thank you for opening the door. Should I have gone after every one of them because they don't have courtesy and respect?
Hell you wont even get a sorry out of a German. Toughen up a little. - sabresfan69

IMO, drafting a Goalie is the biggest crap shoot in sports.
They prospects are very young so not fully developed for every position. Layer on top the general consensus that Goalies are voodoo and take longer to develop ... well, it is like picking the winning lottery numbers.
I subscribe more to pick a Goalie every draft on a value basis (mid / later rounds) unless one is projected to be a phenom.
At the time, one could easily argue that Goalie was a bigger need than a Dman...while both were bigger needs than a F.
Meh, we'll see better in 3 more years ... as of now it isn't looking so great. That could easily change based on the voodoo wind direction.

In Manhattan I had people screaming at me calling me a murderer for letting the construction workers go to work. People were hired to force people to wear masks to walk 10' from a door to a table.
Then you take the train to Queens and they had a 10,000 people block party every night by bringing all the restaurants and bars outside. It was the biggest joke in the world and preyed on the insecure.
I spent 8 weeks in Vegas at the Mirage during the shutdown, $60 a night, the entire floor to myself with unlimited drinks all day as there might have been 15 people gambling. The restaurant to myself and wife every night, it was amazing.
Covid allowed me and my wife to travel the entire US without the congestion, the #1 annoying factor was the pyscho's all over female doging about masks...it would be hard to top the flight attendants as the top line of work for the mentally deranged.

I will throw my 2 cents on the topic
there is value at college free agent goalies as well
look at maine's Victor Östman
undrafted senor and maine has produced many nhl goalies over the years including former sabre great ben bishop and swayman
former buffalo jr sabre Luke Pavicich is an undrafted senor at UMass
Ryan Bischel is a 5 year player for notre damn that went undrafted
Gustavs Grigals was a free agent last spring, as was grabbed by nashville
Collins street in Miami had more of that. That street has become 3rd world at night. Vegas was a straight up ghost town, no clubs or shows were open, just bars, pools and casino floors.
We were supposed to go to Jamaica the day they closed the world down. Domestic tickets for flights were dirt cheap so we decided to go to:
Ft. Lauderdale - loved it, now have a place here
Miami - nasty
Key West - fun
Santa Monica/Venice/Hollywood - we left after a week as it was as bad if not worse than nyc
Vegas - cool, I wouldn't like it if it was packed.
Austin - BBQ, the city itself to me is equivalent to being the Buffalo of Texas.
Nashville - awesome
Denver - B+ city
Chicago - nice, but whatever
The Australian wife loved it, couldn't believe how big the US is and how people are everywhere.

Fellow lover of Ft. Lauderdale here.
Close family and friends all love it there.
A few places in the upper northeast we also love, even during the colder months.

Yeah, so Adams was technically reaching but drafting the best goalie in the draft.
I agree. More to come in a few years. This year I guess he’s been hurt and battling injuries.
