Don't care. That was a damn good performance and Holmstrom is becoming one of the best players on this team. Take the points, don't dwell and move on - keaner17

Yep. Put these two teams in a seven game series based on tonight's play and I like our chances. Play this type of hockey through the rest of the year and we'll host a playoff series. Lane has earned a stay of execution in my eyes |

He wasn't great. I don't know about 'stunk' but he hasn't been real consistent this season IMO. I feel like I always know to expect with Varly, whereas it's a sideshow with Ilya. Given the choice, I'll still ride Ilya since he's the more talented of the two, but I do wonder how much he's really absorbing from Korn. It's tough to judge his overall work, since he's been left out to fry so much this year. |

To the boy's that recommended Angel's Envy, thank you. Had some last night at my Holiday Party. I am going to be getting a bottle tomorrow. - Nfdbulldawg
Just got a hold of a bottle of Field Of Dreams. It's made from corn from the actual field in Iowa. Comes in a numbered bottle. Not even sure I want to open it. |

Ullmark is playing big tonight for the B's - Nfdbulldawg
That play on the short handed two on one was a killer. |

I still think the no call on Gauthier behind the net was the killer I mean he was tripped blatantly and lost possession as a result and then the puck went in on sorokin who was off his post |

Sorokin's one mistake hurt him tonight. He definitely made several big saves throughout the game but the 4th goal was on him.

While the Isles have provided us with a week of exciting hockey and proved that they can score goals. This team needs to now find its balance on both sides of the puck. It is nice to see the PP becoming a weapon but the fact that the PK is becoming a weakness is not acceptable. If when the team was healthy it has been a problem. |

Arguably one of their best of the year, with the exception of the PK, which was terrible. |

Hi guys, I was wondering how Romanov has been doing this season for the Isles
I really liked him as a Habs, even if I get why they made the trade (you have to give to get)
Sad part now is that Dach is out once again, but it is what it is |

I thought it was pretty good against a strong team. It was the little mistakes that killed them.

Romanov has been good for the most part. He makes mistakes occasionally, but he's still young. Plus, as a bonus, he can talk to our goalies. |

If you look at the view the ref behind the net had it appears that Horvat was the guy that tripped him, but it was not if you look at the other angles. That is probably the reason for the no call.

Horvat wasn't on the ice for that goal. You may be thinking about Pageau, who was the closest Islander. That said, I dont think there was any way the ref didn't see it. I just replayed the goal and it was completely obvious.
From Lambert when asked if there may have been a trip:
"I don't think there might have been a trip. It's very clear there was a trip on that play. That play should have been called dead [...] It should have been a penalty." |

You guys called it…Romanov is fan favorite and one of the most important guys on the team (to me, at least). Lou deserves credit for the trade.
Flagged the post on accident. Why are these two icons right next to each other? |

Considering we now have 3 d-men injured, as well as a veteran forward, I think the team is playing well. Besides, every team has to deal with injuries. It's just part of the game. The biggest negative is our PK which for years was pretty good. Now it's a weakness, so if you get some hometown calls tonight from the refs, we're in trouble.
Your team is kind of in rebuilding mode, right? |

yes, changed GM 2 years ago after that run in the playoffs in 2021
its not easy to watch at times, but they had to do it. Habs should still miss the playoffs and pick in the top 10 this season, maybe top 5 once again, I dont know
They are still dealing with injuries this season, Dach being the big one. He is out for the season and he went down in the 2nd game of the season. Newhook is out as well but should come back in 2 months I think or something like that
they have a lot of talent on defense (they are still learning as they are very young) but its a bit thin for young forwards, which is why they traded Romanov to the Isles and took a gamble on Dach. Slafkovský is getting better and better, but he is only 19 (or 20?) and its a slow learning curve for him. Caufield has a bit of a down year by his own standards, but mtl is too easy to shut down right now after the Suzuki line. There is no 2nd line, at least not with the current roster |

The Islanders lost at home to the San Jose Sharks recently, so they can certainly lose to the Habs tonight in Montreal, especially coming off a long (shoot-out), tough game against the Bruins last night . The Isles seem to adjust their battle level to the quality of their opposition.
Good luck to the Habs........against the Leafs, not against us. |

Bs went 3 for 3 on the PP. It’s crazy how the Pk was so strong and is putrid now. Maybe Lane or Lou should look for a new defensive coach. Overall a great game. But regardless of the non call on Gauthier, another blown lead last night. |
