I believe the marketing team sees better numbers lots of people like it as a fashion statement.

Canucks played well Myers and Zadorov did play really well through 2 periods. I never saw the 3rd.

No, why should we retire #1, he played most of his career with the Islanders and Panthers. MacLean did the exact same thing and wore the same number and until Luongo came around was our best goaltender and no one was saying HE should get his number retired either.
