Until recently, I thought the problem was mainly coaching. I now know more than ever, that the bigger problem is our milquetoast GM. He is tied to Granato and admitting that the team needs a change would be a direct reflection on his incompetence. Which leads us to the only person who can fire Adams… and that is the owner of this downtrodden franchise… and he couldn’t care less. Can’t wait for tomorrow night and a thorough beatdown from the MapleLeafs

He is far too cheap to fire Adams

The only realistic path to change is see is if Terry allows Kyvyn to fail upwards to the position of President and then Karmanos takes over as GM and decides Don's fate.

It's the only scenario where he wouldn't necessarily have to pay someone not to be here

Why are the fans and now some media the only people that can see the team has quit on the organization

Rob Ray has made a point of when a team is near the deadline in contention and little to nothing is done it deflates the locker room.

Imagine the deflation after running it back this offseason after missing by 1 point
