I know that your statement is correct, but how is this happening, Pettersson is really struggling (39pts), the powerplay sucks poop (6th overall), team struggles to starts games (usually take over the games to win as the entire game gets played).

It’s kinda funny, and sad at the same time, the Canucks fan base has had a lot to gripe about over the past ten years and it’s just hard to get out of that negative mind frame.

The team is good, they’re not great, but they’re playing good hockey and winning. Allvin’s made some great additions to the really good young players Benning acquired, something Benning had difficulty doing. I think the coaching staff has been the biggest influence on the turnaround.

Flyers and Canucks both in the playoffs so far, yes it’s early, but hockey is fun to watch again. Hell, even the Coyotes are in a wildcard spot.

Allowing one of the worst PP’s to go 2 fer 4 isn’t impressive.

Not true. Flames continually have to play teams better than them, getting mixed results. Where as Canucks play teams worse than them, thus the easy schedule.
If you need a better explanation I could have Northy explain the advance stats to you.

Alrighty then, maybe the Blackhawks should just fold. Demko should be publicly called out by Tocchet for allowing a non NHL talented to score.

I wonder if the Canucks are possible for Kessel. Apparently Tocchet and him get along very well and the experience on a league minimum contract might be nice to have around.
