having various artists and bands playing there does sound like the kind of events that would generate more revenue than a "salon du livre" lol.

It is a terrible place to see a concert/music event... the acoustics are terrible, been to a few shows there and always walk away disappointed.

Blow that poop up, already.

I wasn't talking about whether or not it's actually a good venue to host concerts, just that I get why they would still do it if it generates profit.

personally I don't really give a poop what they do with it, as long as they don't end up spending a billion dollars of taxpayer money to renovate it.

was the roof ever functional on that poop, or did it break the very first time they tried using it?

Never really worked... and when it did, it could not be lifted if it was like more than 10MHP wind outside or something stupid like that... and it took HOURS to pul it up or put it down.

Tear it down, sell off the land to developers for more condo buildings and collect property taxes. It was a failure even before the Olympics took place. No matter how much money you would put into it, it will fail. These venues have to be closer to the core of the city. As a child, I would take a bus and go to Jarry park to watch the Expos. It was close, parents were cool with kids going by themselves . Who the f…k would let their child go out east to watch a game in the big O???? Lose the kids, lose your future clients, a vicious circle that lead to a death of a stadium and teams. It was Drapeau’s dream, but he failed. Take the money and build something closer to the core, a hybrid venue, max 35k capacity, and we would all get to see Taylor Swift….
