I know as a “hockey fan” I’m supposed to love the fact that betting ads are increasing the NHL salary cap.

But I just can’t take it anymore.

It’s way too intrusive, and frankly quite disgusting if you think about it for longer than 10 seconds.

Probably another boomer whining.

I work with multiple people who spend pretty much their entire salary on gambling.

Considering that gambling on the NFL has been a thing for years, it WOULD be nice if the NHL would buckle down and actually give accurate injury reports like NFL teams have to. I hate teams, especially in the playoffs, giving answers like "upper body injury" or "lower body injury" and refuse to give any details and give vague timelines. The ads are a bit much, but I don't think there's THAT intrusive, it's not like we're watching the game to see or not see ads.

Chasing away Saros is surreal. Sure cooled off a hot team like Preds with Canucks own heater play.

Canucks have Preds number this season for sure. Well historically seems too.

Because it protects the team's and player's best interests. Not the gambler or bookies. I'm OK with that because I never put money on games and it makes sense to me.

5v5 and PK is going well which is playoff must. Secondary scoring and top lines humming. D and tending top notch. Guess they will work on PP when practicing back home.

Not really, all it is, is an attempt to snooker the opposing team and it never works. I'd prefer them to be forced to be accurate in injury reports not just for betting purposes, but for transparency in general. Most other leagues don't obscure injury reports as much as the NHL does. If teams were forced to be a little more transparent, you might have less of the Dave Babych's and Tanner Pearson's of the world where they get screwed over by the team and team doctors.

More of a complete effort tonight, good win against a hot team. Too bad Benning’s boy got a meaningless one at the end there, oh well.

Scoring goals is hard in the NHL but the Canucks make it look real easy when they are moving their feet.

Guys play hurt and opposing players target injuries. It's not snookering anyone. I can live with it because I don't feel I'm owed anything once a player gets injured. My interest is watching the game, not hoping the team I bet on wins.

The NHLPA and their lawyers are there to ensure player don't get screwed over by their organizations.

Their passing was fantastic. Nothing moves faster than the puck. They ripped it through the neutral zone.

Are the Canucks the best team in the nhl when they are on? If not they sure are close but they havn’t played anyone good yet 😆

They sure did a good job keeping it to the outside when the preds had some push. It was impressive.

Colorado, NYR and Vegas at the top of the pile imo. Canucks are in that next tier. Making a believer out of the skeptics though.

In a 7 game series and when push comes to shove, this team is like the bubble Canucks, they will show up to play. Petey and Hughes are gamers.
