And they brought in Jacques Martin apparently, talk about hiring a 🦕. Guess Babcock and Qenneville are still blackballed. - Makita
They had him standing by in the executive suite as a 'special advisor to the GM'. |

Yeah I've noticed that as well, I guess there's no pleasing some. I'm very much enjoying watching the Canucks, it is much better entertainment than past years, they haven't put me to sleep once this year, they have had a couple of stinker games but that's nothing to freak out about. Tocchet has them doing the right things and maybe the PP is suffering because other teams are watching what the guys have been doing and are doing a better job on their own PK. - A_SteamingLombardi

I guess they don't miss Horvat. - HenryHockey
At first I thought it was odd the team was better without Bo but it does make sense on a few levels. Was also nice to see Zadorov stand up for Pettersson yesterday when the Hawks were taking liberties with him. Not something Bo would have done |

Yep sad. Not a cup team yet without a few more CDN boys.
Looks like Cherry was always right Vegas won the cup with 16 + CDN's on their roster through the course of last year.
Says something.

Yup
I really disliked Myers for about a year now but with Zadarov as his partner they are my new favorite pairing. Juulsen's game also has taken a turn for the better. They are a lot bigger and tougher.
Also thanks NYN
They did play two easier teams on the weekend but even still they would be points we would throw down the drain in years past so three of four on the road combined with the early starts makes me think we are turning the corner. |

“Had a Cup winning GM tell me "we want trees on the back end. No shrubs".”
I like what Allvin’s done with the backend. The depth is also being a major contributor in their success. Canucks need to beat Vegas and Colorado but I like the way things are trending. |

“Here’s my yearly reminder of why a properly constructed back end matters most.”
Vancouver:
Hughes Hronek 2 puck movers
Zadorov 6.6
Myers 6.7
Soucy 6.4
Jullsen 6.3
Cole 6.2 (shot blocker)
Vegas:
Pietro 6.4
Hague 6.6
Mcnab 6.5
Martinez 6.1 (great defender)
Theodore 6.2
Whitecloud 6.1 (heavy)
Range, covers ice, imposing, good skaters. That’s all. |

Nice roller coaster to be riding. After the hot start the grind & schedule hit. Not unexpected tbh being tired & slowed down. Then got Zaddy & back to basics. Identity is back on track finding ways to win. Good learning experience. 👍 |

Looking forward to get back into golf. Miss it & certain it will be lots of goods & bads. Need a hobby away from day to day retirement. Find out if more mind over matter or same old same old bad habits lol. Going to hit the range plenty & the practice green even more. |

They still have their biggest road trip (7 games in 12 nights) all over the map next month, if they can at least be 500 or better on it (and more importantly, not lose anyone to injury) then they'll be set for the rest of the season. |
