TSN made it into what it is. Marketing 101.
And the Tim Horton's consuming Canadians lather themselves in it. Now that the Canucks are entertaining again, I could care less about it. - Marwood
If it's good hockey I'll watch, otherwise ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ |

Once we cross into the new year there are a lot of questions to be asked about new contracts. Zadarov Myers Lafferty Petey Hronek Blue and a few more. Combine that with is there anyone from the prospects ready to take a spot.
Some big decisions for PA and gang in the next six months. Zadarov is going to want money and term. I really like him back there and I hope they can settle on a contract. |

It’s the medal rounds that are entertaining to watch. I haven’t looked this up but I don’t think theres more than a handful of 18-19-20 kids in the NHL who are eligible to play, it’s a great showcase for young junior age potential NHL players. - Pacificgem
I enjoy it because for a lot of these kids it represents the pinnacle of their hockey careers. Plus I get to see a few guys I've seen play in the W.
For those complaining about how commercial it is, look around you. That's the modern world. At least you'll get a break from mid game gambling ads. |

It’s semantics but his core consists of JT Miller, Boeser, Hughes and Demko, really good players but Allvin needs to continue to hit on his additions because imo they’re not gonna beat Vegas or Colorado in a playoff series.
And by the way, Benning was basically forced to draft Pettersson by Linden and the rest of the organization so I don’t consider that part of his core. He didn’t really want that player, so (frank) him, that ain’t his player. |

I hate the position the Canucks are in with Hronek, He’s having a great year but the data says he’s propped up by extremely high sh % and sv % He’s good but he’s not $8-9m+ good
Per nat stat, he’s got the second highest expected goals against in entire NHL at 5on5
I haven't heard that Canucks are interested in giving him 8-9M so that's fine. Cap is going up quite a bit and I thought Frank Seravalli mentioned starting with a 7m. Cap is fluid |

Anyone who has to tell the same group of people the same narrative 3 or 4 times a week likely doesn't have much conviction in his case to begin with.

Not trying to be an "expected" wienerhead here, but what do the "actual" goals against 5vs5 work out to. And I agree that I haven't heard any contract dollars for Hronek, kind of like people throwing around 12-14 for Pettersson, and freaking out. |

Four. Even though they have not been much of a threat for the last decade.
If there were no Canuck prospects I don't think I would even bother watching. That is how gimmicky I think this tournament has dropped. But for those that enjoy the 14 to 0 beating of Latvia enjoy. - VANTEL
Just a few points on your comments/concerns about the tournament, first, did you enjoy the Canucks shellacking of the Oilers on opening night, then the beatdown of San Jose a few games later?, What are your thoughts on NHL games being played in Arizona, Florida, San Jose and any other team that has poor attendance? Would you prefer they relocate due to bad attendance, or should they stay where they are, and continue getting poor attendance?
And lastly, this is a tournament that has been going on for decades ages, with many f uture NHL players, do you not think it helps with development/exposure for some of these kids who usually play in front of about 12 fans, kinda like the Coyotes? |

First of all Canucks shellacking of Oilers and San Jose is a rarity not an annual event.
Secondly every game is not played in Vancouver and both teams are familiar with the rink size.
Thirdly even though some teams have poor attendance they still get equal amounts of home games.
Personally I could not give a sh1t if Coyotes have bad attendance or not. It doesn't affect me one bit.
