screw Calgary and their GM. he had a chance to move people and wanted more and more and now he will be stuck, watching them all walk away! looks good on him
Shawn Monahan would be cheaper and just as good for the role teams need going into the playoffs. |

He rejected $9 mill/yr offer already, not many teams will be able to afford him as an UFA. I don't see Calgary getting much in a trade if he is merely a rental... - TommyGTrain GP G A

DJ Smith should've been fired weeks ago - but new owner, new gm - they didn't want to panic or seem too eager. Sens are much better than their record but structurally need to play a lot better. - AlfieisKing
Sens suck.

Pretty sure it was Conroy. Regardless, I would be very skeptical on Lindholm on a long term deal. He's not playing well this year, he's likely already leaving his prime age years, and really more suited for 2C role on a contender. 7 or 8 years at $9m is huge risk. |

Yeah, Toronto would never risk losing an elite player for nothing and would always lock up their franchise player to a max deal. |

Interesting but no way Calgary would trade a goalie to bring 2 back they would need to make room for wolf not bring in more goalies |

Hilarious coming from a Nucks fan.
According to Nucks fans 1970 was such a long time after 1967. |

Andersen is on and off IR so much he’s a wash and has 1 year after this at 3.4 and Ranta expires at the end of the season and if Conroy was smart and got this done sooner than the deadline he could likely flip both for a mid and a late and add to his draft capital over the next few years. Heck. Same with Fast if they really wanted to go young and strip it all the way down.
Though I agree. Wolf is the future. Caught some games tears ago when he was playing out here in Cali and even then, stature be damned, dude just had an it factor. |

If Nashville offers a 1st with someone like Novak or Evangelista you take it. The idea of getting a 1st, 2nd, and two prospects seems like a made up story. Horvat went for less than that. |

So this guy is worth a 1st a 2nd and 2 prospects but Willie Ny can’t get a bag of pucks!!? Yeah ok. - Bullot
Not the same salary ! Both actuals and to come
Also Nylander playoff records limits the return

Also the minor detail that Toronto isn't trying to trade Nylander. He'll be extended, as some of us have said for the last year. Strange that other UFAs are never on the trade market - Stamkos, Reinhart, Guentzel, Marchessault, etc... - but media sources are obsessed with Nylander.

Lol Good point here. Almost as if Toronto and their media has their own gravity pulling all focus toward the Leafs…
Reinhart I’d bet FLA would like to get on the old Florida income tax discount and on a shorter term as that dude is always seemingly (and I haven’t checked the numbers but I feel like this was the case when his last deal was up) 10-15 points better when he needs new ink and paper put to his name…
Idk what’s going on with Stammer especially with the opening season drama. |

I would actually do this trade. The one that I would hate to lose the most is Scott Morrow, who I think has a legit chance to be a top 4 d-man, but Carolina needs to push for the Cup while their window is still open, plain and simple.

but is it ? I mean I understand the fans would like to keep him, but that seems highly unlikely as somebody will give him 11m, how can they fit that ?
unless they somewhow unload Tavares ? |

Regardless, stay or go, the media will have it be the biggest story ever. I’d almost look for a JT extension at a discount of around $6aav before Nylander gets re-upped at this point. |
