sometimes they "hard way". but that's actually worse than blading. that's when you actually just punch a guy where there's good bone under the skin, like the eyebrow or cheekbone, and actually split them open.

they actually call it "hard waying" because it's the harder, more painful way to do get blood. you end up with bruising, stitches, and probably a concussion if they have to hit you over and over until the cut opens.

i think since i've stopped watching, i've only heard of one case of guys doing it hard way and everybody was mad at them so i'm pretty sure it's really rare nowadays.

the blading is preferrable, especially if you just do it right behind your hairline (which was ric flairs go to). you won't get visible scars on your forehead like abdullah the butcher and if you just stick it in and twist a little it's quicker and bleeds more than actually sticking it in and running it an inch or two across your forehead.
