Radko Gudas 3 years 4M AAV at 33 years old.

It's actually the reason both teams are now having success. The players didn't improve, per se, their systems improved and that's why they're collectively having success now.

Teams that buy-in defensively, it's predominantly part of their culture, like Dallas, Vegas, LA and Boston seemingly put themselves in a good position to win. Doesn't always work out but they win a lot.

How about this...Flyers are in second in the Metro solidly in a playoff position with Hextall's "core".

Farabee, Frost, Konecny is half of their top six. Sanheim is a top pairing dman and both their starting goaltenders, Hart & Ersson, are Hextall's!!

It would take a small miracle for them to advance into the second round with that lineup, but stranger things have happened. They have two 1st round picks again next season, re-tooling on the fly.

Lekkerimäki was a constant threat. He and Noah Östlund are going to be fun.

Pettersson was a steady-eddy and stood out.

Willander had a poor showing.

Lol, folks, easy now.

For some context, Willander just didn't stand out, at least not in a positive sense.

He had some bad giveaways, one directly leading to a goal against.

He was the best of the three (IMO) on Tuesday, but he just didn't appear to have it today. It happens.
