His mouth is like Connor McDavid. You can't fully stop it the best you can do is hopefully slow it down. - VANTEL
The McDavid of HB, generational talent...thanks buddy!! |

Your mouth is McDavid and brain is Jake Virtanen. Consider it an early Xmas gift.

Poor Jake, he actually had great wheels, not McDavid great but he could fly in a straight line. I think he’s tearing up some third tier German League now. |

His toolkit was pretty interesting considering his size and speed, shame it went to waste.
No pity for abusers though |

Kuzmenko getting press on duties again.i remember all the guzzling going on last year, over what a great contract that was.
Trade him and be happy if Canucks get a 3rd.
Go Canucks Go. - Reubenkincade
Kuz has been in/out of Tocchet's doghouse all season. It's not as though he's been put in a great position to succeed buried on the 4th line. Sure some other players have stepped up to get TOI but still. |

His agent said on Twitter “there’s a plan”, so neither side is upset at this point. Whatever that means. |

I think it means proper development which everyone screams for here, but as it happens it seems some don’t agree. |

He was in the dog house immediately after RT took over the team last season. His play on the ice wasn't even the beginning of it. RT went after his personality and also tore into him for leaving practice first when it was a misunderstanding on RT's part. He was doing one on one with a trainer since before RT arrived.
It seems like Kuz early on was used to set an example for the culture change that RT was preaching. An end was put to him being laid back, always smiling and playing it up for the young fans etc... RT jumped the gun on using him for a poor commitment example when he went to do his extra work after practice which in reality shows commitment when you consider it.
Although I'm on the same page as RT about Kuzmenko's on ice commitment, I feel he's been unfair with the whipping boy routine overall. |

That is my guess. Being sat now so he does not get injured.

There's enough buzz out there that I'm #interested to see what happens when the trade freeze lifts.

Jesperi Kotkaniemi has just 3 pts in his last 18 games. #CauseChaos
He could use a scoring winger to help get him going |

PLD has one assist in the past ten games for LA I read today. Kotkaniemi has never been an offensive player, despite being a high pick. Another boneheaded pick by the Canadiens. Still a serviceable middle six player though. |

The Habs wanted PLD too.
JK had a decide first 15 games but since then has fallen off a cliff. The good new is that JK isn't being paid 8.5M per year.
PLD contract going to end up like Ryan Johansen. |

Garland 2 goals at 4.95 million, Kuzmenko 5.5 million to sit and OEL $4,766,667 to play for someone else….every team has a bit of clean up work. Or perceived stinkers.
I’d take Kotkaniemi over Garland every day all day… |

I really don't agree with having to put a 27 year-old winger in a position to succeed, especially 1 that struggles defensively. Maybe the player needs to put himself in a position to succeed, like when he was given an opportunity, several times, on the 2nd line with Pouty.¼ |

Everyone just falls in love with that guys size, he can produce offensively over 82 games, but you just have to deal with his inconsistency, not unlike most NHL players that aren’t elite. |

I agree. How can being Petey's winger most of last and this season be not considered a position to succeed? The two players that have been tried since Kuz's demotion both showed instant scoring success while being defensively sound and never got caught out on a extended shift.

If Laffy was such a success then why did they move onto Suter? Also what about Garland? |
