Everything internal, the Aura is strong. To bad the voids needed to be filled are not in the system. Sometimes you have to Break the Internal Aura and explore other things out there. - Buff36
We should be looking for trades.
But those 2 mentioned IMO are not good trades.
If you could do
Savoie, Samuelsson/Joker, 24 1st type deal for Andersson. I like that a lot more than giving up Mitts. |

Jack Quinn is so back. We're making the playoffs folks, this is going to be a Blues-esque rise to glory. |

Do you think Savoie is a bit safer because of his relationship with benson?
Seams like those 2 may have some magic in the future |

Donny does like his dynamic duos. Seems we have two he's bound and determined to keep together, maybe for good reason. Do we have a third?
Tage and Skinner
Petey and Quinn
Savoie and Benson is next?
I think there's good chance they get a shot together. Who knows, maybe Krebs gets a chance with Benson at some point as well. Given the fight between Savoie and Krebs, the WPG line is probably a pipedream, but could be a cool trio if all are kept on. |

They say TPegs is watching and asking questions...
I wonder how much he notices the rather muted reaction of Sabres fans to a sweet smackdown of perhaps their most hated rival.

We'll take all the help we can get. Consider sending Samson back up North before the freeze to help please. |

They had conversation and decided if they're going to go down, they will play their way. It's in your Okposo quote. That's admitting defeat, how did you interpret that? - washedup20
I read it as there's still time left, and we're not going to spend any more time waiting to see if the new system will work, when we know the old system did work, so let's roll with the old system and see if we can make a sustained run before it is too late. |

If the Andersson will be priced out in 2 seasons, why is it a good idea to trade all of Savoie, Samuelsson and the Sabres 24 1st for him?
"Mitts++ for a Dman that'll be priced out in 2 years. Bad idea IMO." |

Tage Thompson said 2 nights ago they didn't accomplish anything with that system, they didn't win.
They abandon the plan the team put in place for a season of expectations...failed and are reverting back to their old ways which they acknowledge didn't accomplish anything.

Not grabbing another 5'10 winger.
Andersson would be nice. Just trading Mitts for him is not how I would go about it.
If you are trading Mitts for him I dont think you'd need to add much if anything at all. - DirtyDan
A #1 D on the right side is worth merely a 50 - 60 pt C?
Sorry, but that just is way, way undervalueing him.

Apparently Savoie and Krebs got in a little bit of a tussle during Savoie's debut. |

What's the better solution compared to going back to what worked last season?
Continue with the round peg in the square hole approach, trying to make a system that doesn't fit the Sabres best players work?
They were accomplishing a bottom 5 finish in the standings with whatever the hell system they were attempting to employ this season.
The system that got them to 90 points sounds much better in comparison. |

The system that led them to be a top 3 scoring team hockey, sounds like fun to me.
Comrie is a goner, and time should be running out on UPL too if he can’t put it back together.
Go get a goalie that can mitigate the damage defensively and let the boys cook |

There isn't a better solution due the Sabres being managed by moron. |

Sounds like the Leafs, on a budget. Fun, but can't win anything.
