We should be looking for trades.
But those 2 mentioned IMO are not good trades.
If you could do
Savoie, Samuelsson/Joker, 24 1st type deal for Andersson. I like that a lot more than giving up Mitts. - DirtyDan
That's fair, but what are you willing to sign Mitts to, that's a big ?. |

Sabres own the leafs
Was this a case of the perfect storm against a team that also doesn't play defense and gets mediocre goaltending?
They talk now about reverting, what took so long? Is it even true? Are they just going to roll 11-7 now or make the correct decision with Ryan Johnson? Is this 3 goalie nonsense going to be resolved? Robinson already sits for olofsson, just preparation for 28s return?
Will this team show up tomorrow? Every time I am on the border of hate watching untill someone pays a price for this season im dragged along by a nice performance. It starts tomorrow again

What? When?
During his NHL regular season debut? - kingcong39
That's what I heard anyways, yeah. Was part of the reason Savoie rode the pine for a period. |

So apparently someone created a Facebook account with my name and profile picture, befriended half my friend's list and was trying to get them with some DHHS scam. Now I've got 72 messages from friends asking if I'm hacked. Like, no, I'm not, but that's also not me, I didn't make my account today and you know I don't work for the Department of Health and Human Services either.
Ever wonder if your friend group is just a bunch of morons? |

Sounds like the Leafs, on a budget. Fun, but can't win anything. - Lunaion
Iโll take a first round playoff exit if it means we can stop talking about a playoff drought.
This year for me was always ending the drought.
Break the drought and then we can talk about moves that need to be made to be a legitimate cup contender |

There isn't a better solution due the Sabres being managed by moron. - washedup20
I'm not sure there are many, or any solutions in season, unless you're going to pay substantially for Lindholm and either Andersson or Hanifin, and then sign both players you get to big extensions. |

You want to break it this year? You know what kind of pace they'd have to play at the rest of the year?

Rossi I'm not too worried about, he's playing very well but Jack will be the better scorer of the two. Perfetti has already jumped both and will be the best of the bunch IMO. |

6-3-1 over a 10 game pace.
Doesnโt seem so daunting when you break it down into smaller samples.
Can they play consistently ? If they can, itโs doable.
They are finally healthy and the roster is damn talented.
You donโt pistol whip the Leafs 9-3 by accident |

A week or so ago, 110 point pace would have given them a chance to make it. Haven't re-checked, but probably still in the ballpark.
You really want to draw a conclusion off a 9-4 loss and 9-3 win?

They are 8-6 against the top 11 teams in the league.
They canโt seem to beat anyone else.
Having the Rangers and Bruins up next might be a blessing over a curse the way they get up for the big market teams.
Would have broken the drought last year if they got a freaking save before Levi showed up

Whats crazy to think about is Tuch is 27 and Thompson is 26, Skinner 31, Mittelstadt 25.
Tuch gonna be 28 next year and sure that is still relatively young and we have a young team but it takes Granato 4 years to "teach" whatever system he says he is teaching the window will start to close on some of these guys and time will start to catch up to them.
Time goes by quick, we are out of the playoffs this year and the clock is ticking on some of these guys. Are we gonna give the next coach 4 years too? Girgensons will have spent his entire career here never seeing the playoffs. Will that be Tage Thompson's story in a few more years?
When a team hires a coach in the off season there is no way in hell he is telling everyone hey i am gonna teach offense this year and then next year defense and then the year after that we put the two together.
That coach would never make it past the interview process.
Back to where I was going, Adams is going to have to do something to push this team over the edge of making the playoffs or its just another wasted season after season as the guys get older. |
