I would agree that having a guy like Kyle on the team makes sense to a team needing depth and experience. That's not needed here at this time. KA needs to find out who is going to be here when they take the next step. Prospects watching Kyle play does nothing for the future of this team. I watch all the games. Let's not get confused here. He may be a guy that's useful to a team after the deadline for a playoff push. Depth only. Is he a leader? Definitely not. Leaders lead on a continuous basis not every 5 to 10 years. Nice guy, we all can like him but his value to this team is zero now. Number of prospects given the opportunity will make you forget him

2 years ago was probably his best season as a sabre


points per 60 was 2.2

this year it is 1.7

it's also his best plus/minus season as a sabres at even for the season

RJ and Samuelsson are not the answer. They are great 5-6 but we need 4 good defensemen. RJ might be a top 4 but it will take 2-3 years. Even a stop gap like Tanev would be ok.
