That's spatso level
What if the Leafs got two second round picks plus a D prospect.
It doesn't really help them now but in the future.
For the record, I would not trade Nylander. - dmnted
While the haters take shots at how I said it, my point is valid : better to keep Willy Ny the Goals Guy than trade him for peanuts. If somebody offers you the farm for him, take it. Otherwise, keep him for a deep playoff run and resign him after when the cap goes up.
I believe in the Leafs potential. Some of you are too phucking jaded, IMO. ✊ |

Dude, can you at least retract the "he may not even get a 1st" narrative? That poop is absurd. |

Are you (frank)ing high?
Seriously?
He easily gets a 1st and then some.

So true.
And the saddest part is how many people spend so much time and effort taking shots at anyone who dares to believe in some of the positions. (Or all of them) from
The “other side”
The constant need to try and make one side out to be the devil is so idiotic and childish.
God forbid someone believe in or support some of the things that one party says while also believing or supporting some of the things from the “other side”. 🙄
There is no place for that, you are a Hatfield or a McCoy pick a side!!!!! - Cush29
Ive never voted based on party, just the ideas or person. Lately unfortunately, just simply the lesser of two evils |

If he played for any other team and was traded as a rental he would surely fetch a treasure trove of assets though.
🫵🏿🤛🏿 - Cush29
Instead of insulting anyone who disagrees with you, maybe you can be more specific on what a "treasure trove" is so the rest of us can judge you too.

Yeah, actually I am. Big whoop, wanna fight about it? 😂
I've been on the record for keeping him and I stand by that. If you wanna get rid of someone, ditch Queefe.
Either Willy is a useless floater or he's worth a king's ransom. Pick one. 😆 |

Nylander atm is worth a 1st round pick.
For the Record, I don't want the Leafs to trade him. |

I'm actually surprised that the IIHF did the right thing and not suspend Celebrini. |

Staios on the other hand is already trying to unload Korpisalo to someone else. - Scabeh
Who could've imagined that that would be the worst signing of the off-season.

If he is still asking for $11M, they must trade him. The Cap space is limited and he can't be signed for more than $9M. If the Leafs can move him for a young top 4 defenseman, preferably a right handed shot, they should do so. Leafs have too much money invested in forwards. I'm not sure going after another 30 plus year old defenseman for major assets is a smart move. The second wave of talented players are now in the pipeline, in regards to forwards. Knies is the first to crack the team with Minten and Cowan not far behind. There are no young defensemen in the pipeline right now. It's a priority to get one that's NHL caliber and is under 25. |

Look, there's almost 0% chance Willie would get traded but, if he was, it would have to be a hockey trade that addresses team needs (on both sides).
A framework of this would be something like Willie for Pesce - both guys on expiring contracts who are top notch at what they do. Not saying this is remotely likely, or that the Canes necessarily need more offence, but you get the idea.
Having said that, if Willie was on a non-contending team, he would easily fetch a 1st even if he turned out to be strictly a "rental". - mjones242
Would Carolina trade Aho for Brodie?
Because that's basically the same trade in reverse. |

You guys sound like Q-MAGA when you talk about not trading Nylander
“Why trade him for peanuts”
“He’ll just be a rental”
“There’s no one out there who’ll help the team more”
“There’s a pedo sex cult under a pizza shop”
It all sounds exactly the same. |

(frank) no.
Samsonov only has 1 year left on his deal. And while he sucks right now, he's also played well before. Maybe he can turn it around. Unlikely, but maybe.
Korpisalo has always sucked when playing teams that aren't the Leafs. |

but aren't I correct?
for me, he has face that I want to punch.
not that I'm advocating for violence towards the guy. |

Jake Allen from the Habs. Only one year left at 3.8M. Would definitely hold the fort until Woll is ready and even then could be in a rotation. Habs have three goalies and are anxious to make it two. Cost would be minimal. Treliving and Hughes have history. This is a no brainer. |
