Last season, one the the local analytic screamers, Dayal I think k, was throwing some stats at Hughes and he responded that he has no awareness of what his fancy stat was but he continually monitors his +/-.

Regardless of how meaningless or not the stat is for analyzing play, players wear that -
like an albatross in their own eyes.
