Pulling Savoie, Ostlund, and Kulich out of one draft class is real sicko behaviour. - Swedish_Jesus
It's excellent no doubt.
Too bad he sucks at the other 85% of his job. |

Mintyukov, Kemell, and Lamoureux went with the next picks. Would that have been better or worse? |

Have had this luxury for a long time now:
Grigorenko
McCabe
Ullmark
Risto
Compher
Peterson
Skunk
Eichel
Guhle
Nylander
Asplund
Mitts
UPL
Dahlin
Samuelsson
Cozens
R Johnson
Quinn
Peterka
Power
Rosen
How much of an actual impact will, Savoie, Ostlund, Kulich and Whalberg make for this organization? - washedup20
The next GM and Coaching Staff will need a full box of kleenex each every day. |

Results would indicate otherwise. Sabres fans are hooked on potential, it's comical.

Teams of goalies at the top of sv% and League standing:
Boston 4th
Pittsburgh 20th
Vancouver 2nd
Winnipeg 7th
Los Angeles 6th
New York Rangers 1st
Vegas 3rd
New York Islanders 12th
Florida Panthers 9th
Teams of goalies at the bottom of sv%:
Carolina 11th
Buffalo 29th
New Jersey 16th
Ottawa 30th
Edmonton 27th
San Jose 32nd
Chicago 31st
Calgary 28th
So is all that matters is a goalie and their percentage of saves? Or does the team standing dictate that almost entirely. I'd argue the latter based on this. Gonna hang up and reaaad. Have a good NY folks, avoid booking on a long weekend and behave. - RhinoFan
How would you assess the goaltending play of Levi and UPL so far this season?
Did I read in a prior post that you would classify their play as great so far this season? |

The Eichel core had more talent than the current core.
The current prospect situation is a surplus of middle 6 perimeter players, it is what it is.
The current NHL team will not improve adding those players, I am calling it now. |

These casuals think Adams can just snap his fingers and get a 7th round pick for Eric Comrie. Wrong. That takes months of diligent hard work |

This is gonna be even funnier if Adams did this just to buy himself like 3 more hours with Comrie before he has to say goodbye - Hank Balling
Heard it was so Tage could practice, since he was on the non roster he couldn't practice with the team. |

Especially when the analytics and the eyes don't match. There are Questions to the Analytics that we don't see that the analytics might need to be analytically broken down! |

I think the EJ signing pretty much proves KA doesn't listen to analytics |

Meh.
The Coaching Staff is glorified ECHL level and the players play like it...called pond hockey.
There is no system and no one knows where they should be. The defense has no idea of how to clear the net or at least tie up the player's stick, and they constantly let the opposition behind them.
The O has no idea of a multi-level attack and many are lazy coming back.
FFS, Ted Nolan had a better system. |

Blaming it 100% on coaching is flawed. The players aren’t performing in any meaningful way, it’s a fast paced reactionary game, systems only go so far. |

I will say that the players collectively are a mentally fragile group and have a problem with consistency...well, other than consistently coming out flat.
Do you think it is equally flawed to blame it 100% on the players? Especially when listening to the coach and gm?

It's a Total failure from Top to Bottom!
1- Ownership is Lost in Space
2- GM has Conversations but other than maybe drafting has No clue on building a Roster
3- Had a Very Good Coach with your AHL Club that worked very well with your Youngsters and could have given a Wealth of Knowledge to all that are coming and you let him Walk. Looking worse for doing it every day!
4- Hired a Young and Inexperienced Coaching Staff with minimal NHL Experience and your Offensive Assistant who runs your PP had 1 in his whole Career and I won't even bring up Wilford's accomplishments.
5- The Leadership Adams brought back has never WON anything. They have lead losing for atleast 7 years. Losing Breeds Losing.

The owner, GM and his staff, the coach and his staff, and the players, at every position have all failed and the blame is on all of them.
The mental fragility of this group should wake people up from assuming the addition of small rookies to the group will increase their chances at success.
There is more untapped potential on the NHL team than in the prospect pipeline, and both the NHL players and prospects play the same type of game.
The league knows this and will bend Adams over if/when a deal is made. |
