well there's some pretty intense people out there when it comes to issues such as the conflict between Israel and Palestine, it isn't "mass media" painting it that way, as you say. but yeah hopefully things won't turn to poop among protesters, that would be just sad.

I've always wondered how different things would be if people had to use their actual name and info to sign in and post on social media platforms...

interestingly enough there seems to be a lot people on Twitter for example who do use their picture and actual name as their handle, but are still completely unhinged and not ashamed at all when they're dishing out the most racist, bigotted, misogynistic, etc..,. posts, never afraid to show to the world how dumb they can be.

I went to 2 protests. Thousands of people. Nothing bad took place

its been like that for all saturdays for months now

I think it would help a lot. wouldn't stop it completely, but I notice people's courage goes away when you gotta put yo name on it.

On FB, most people are cordial because you use your name. One guy in a group I'm in was saying some pretty awful things. Pointed out how he had all his info on his profile and it could ruin him. He deleted all his comments.

I don't think that necessarily means the whole group of people he was part of condoned his actions, human beings just tend to have some sort of dumb herd mentality in these kind of events, and lose their sense of self.
