i haven't read the news in months unless it was local poop.

what's the reader's digest version of the story? just from bits and pieces it sounds like one side bombed the other side, and now the other side is bombing them back? both sides targeted kids though?

you mean the situation between Israel and Palestine? it's reaaaaaaally complicated, there isn't really a "reader's digest version" to be honest. but it goes way back, with one of the key moments being the creation of the state of Israel after the second world war.

and yeah they've been killing each other for literally decades now. I tend to say I'm not cheering for one side or another because war and killing innocent people (frank)ing sucks, but I'm aware of my own bias because I do believe Palestinians should have their own state that is internationally recognized by a majority of countries, and not be confined in settlements under horrible conditions like they have been now for years.

you can never be truly 100% objective and impartial with this sort of thing imho, but it's important to at least try to be aware of potential biases when it comes to creating your own opinions on the matter.
