I think Farrell showing a lot more than was expected might put a wrinkle in WiFi getting the call back up soon... but they might be ready to get rid of a guy or two soon, as teams pile up injuries and get desperate for bodies.

I could see WiFi in Laval until the TDL, if there is no movement. Even if they waive Lindstrom and bring up WiFi, still leaves 8D on the Habs.

with Farrell being a forward, I don't think it would mean anything for Xhekaj if he were to be called up, the main issue really being the number of dmen as you mention. a trade to get more skill up front could make a lot of sense.
