I used to go to the New Year Eve games between Philly and Vancouver...was a tradition for multiple years.

One of the best ones ever was the 8-0 shltkicking of Vancouver..the Legion ran free that night.

I am very curious what the Tippett extension is going to look like.

I think I have to disagree. He was an underager playing at the WJC last year and put up a nice amount of points. I watch a lot of BC games and he is a force out there most nights. The first game of the WJC he had 3 assists and it should have been 4.

Maybe. I'm just not sold on him based on his play with the best in the world at his own age. NCAA is one thing. WJC is a whole different animal. And I find that I am underwhelmed by the #4 pick in the draft.

Yes! That was tradition! I might be wrong but recall when we got Paul Coffey that he got crushed by a hit and injured against the Canucks on NYE shortly after we got him. I was at Bennigan's watching the game.

Zamula continues to deserve PP time. Very small sample size, but he has done a good job at the point.
