You know what actually pisses me off?


Making it all the way out to my ice shack today only to forget to bring more gas for my auger, and having to chip the ice with an axe instead.


I’ll never become angry like some of the gents around these parts.

Actually not bad considering I was redlining my 800 etec for a couple hours after fishing. My fingers are feeling it tho from trying to hang on.

My daughter joined the rock climbing club at university, so today we went to a climbing gym for a couple of hours, then across the street to a brewpub where I had a couple of beers and a spicy chicken sandwich.

It will be interesting to see what leaves me more sore tomorrow - the two hours of climbing which has shredded my forearms…

…or the spicy chicken sandwich.

Rock climbing takes a ton of upper body strength. My buddy here is a climber, he can do like 200 chin ups in a row. But he’s like 145 lbs.

Agree - take Marner off the first PP unit. He's dedicated to not shooting. He could be in the slot with a gaping wide open scoring chance and would pass it back. Put Knies on instead of Marner on the first unit. He's not afraid to go to the net and he's totally willing to shoot the (frank)ing puck. Others willing to shoot include Matthews, Willy and JT. Marner is a giveaway machine on the PP with his backpasses and avoidance to shoot.

Leafs are going nowhere without a goalie. And you can’t put it on the shoulders of a guy with less than 40 games in the league, coming back from an ankle injury and 6-8 weeks without playing.

But I did have fun today, and it was ridiculous exercise. I may get some shoes and do it a little this winter, so it’s something else I can do with my daughter (sadly, no longer coaching her in hockey).
