No, it's not accurate. Since only one player has been clocked at barely over 24 mph for a short speed burst and on one occasion. While every other player in the league has not hit 24 mph even once. While zero players hit 24 mph all of last season.
Feel free to post the link to the information concerning McDavid. Even if he did, that still wouldn't make your statement accurate. - MJL
See, I'm already exhausted You're right, I'm wrong. I should have said around 24 MPH instead of 25, my bad. |

The difference between 24.05 MPH and 25 MPH is the same difference between a 45 goal scorer and a 60 goal scorer. |

Look, it's not just MJL, I don't have a problem with *any* of you. This is a forum where we share our thoughts about our favorite team. I don't really know any of you and you really don't know me either. If any of you judge me as a person solely based on the opinions I share and as a result don't like me, that's on you. |

If you say so, though in your example, both players are great goal scorers, no? |

That's apparently what he doesn't grasp. It's not nitpicking. When only one player has registered at 24 mph this season and only for a brief spurt and zero players hit the 24 mph mark all of last season. The difference between 24 and 25 is huge.

I agree. I also joke a majority of the time. I just am not good at joking with typed words for the most part.
I also agree it is exhausting to see the same scenario unfold on each thread. Most days I do not participate because of it.

You're right, so lets stop talking about people and start talking hockey. Opinions are fair game, people are not. We all need to work on that including myself. It's a new year! |

Yep. But one of the numbers is very good. One is elite. The difference between very good and elite is vast.
Also, 25MPH is a ridiculous speed. That's like speed skater speed. Hence the analogy.

Speed skaters get over 30, up to 35 in some events..
That is insane fast.
One guy did 103 kph (64 mph!) under controlled circumstances. (had to look that one up)

Just a poor showing for the team for the whole tournament. They never felt like they were a real threat at all. Some bad calls, and some really sloppy, poor play. |

Would Foerster benefit some time in the AHL to find his offensive game? He's scoring like a 4th liner with almost half the season gone despite being gifted mostly top line usage. |

The rest of his game is really good. He is just not putting it in the net. I think once he gets a couple in a row, he will catch fire and put in a bunch. He almost got going with 4 goals in 3 games in early December. If he wasn't playing well in most aspects not including getting points I could see a benching/ AHL time, but his play really doesn't warrant it yet. |

It's a tough deal. It's not affecting the rest of his game and hurting the player but he does need to learn to get his shot off faster and quicker. Can he improve that area better with the Flyers or in the AHL, tough call. I lean towards with the Flyers.

Agreed, he is not really hurting things, and he needs to learn the spacing and speed at the NHL level. |

I respect MJL for his info, knowledge, stats and admitting his view has changed, like he has with Walker, when he sees he might not have been 100% right. I dislike the tact, the almost non stop one upping, and almost bullying of others one here. It kinda feels like your bigger brother having a go at you just because.
I respect jd250 for, well..he has a big heart. He means well, I guess, and seems to carry a positive outlook on most things. I dislike the homer attitude..it's like dealing with a Leaf or Canuck fan. The team can do no wrong kinda attitude. I think he does and says some things for a reaction, and goes off about somethings, like he is hoping it happens so he seems so much smarter than everyone else. He seems like the little brother trying to prove himself non-stop.
Good game going on right now between Canada and Czechia. - TheFreak
I don’t dislike MJL. I don’t have a dog in this race. My point is, if I’m in JD’s shoes, I would really hate this guy. MJL is clearly a smart and knowledgeable fan but stubborn. If you don’t see eye to eye, we seen this mess for hours on end everyday. I imagine JD is a very young adult and MJL being a middle aged man. So where is the challenge in arguing with JD? |

I never met MJL so I really don't know anything about him or any of you, and my default is always to like someone until they give me reason not to. I mean, MJL and I go back and forth but hey, he's a Flyers' fan just like me, plus he has that cool Darth Vader logo, so what's not to like in the grand scheme of things? I really try my best to not take anything on this forum personally, it's all in good fun. - jd250
You know what? I credit you for this outlook. For some people, this site is all they have and all allies and arch enemies all seem to be here. |
