Would you prefer Dough Weight hockey? - JimmyP
Oh you enjoy this?

During the pre-game, they showed a stat of the most blown 3rd period leads over the past 2 years. Isles were tied for first. |

No. I guess I'm just used to this after all these years. |

The moment they dropped the puck to Mayfield behind the net I said, 'he's going to turn it over'
Sure enough. Then Martin finishes the deal. Both of those guys should be dropped in Gaza |

The funny thing.
Last 3 shifts. 4th line. 2nd line. 4th line.
Like, did you have a bet on the game? How bad of a coach do you have to be to think that’s the winning formula? |

I’d rather lose 7-5 with Doug weight than blow every (frank)ing game we play. At least my hopes wouldn’t get high. |

Agreed. I am furious with Mayfield on that last play, but he was okay the rest of the game. Martin and Palmieri were awful.
Palms had a big goal against Toronto, but he just doesn't bring much at this stage. Martin is worthless |

1-0 lead with 6 minutes left and you lose.

I think this will be Martin's last season. Palmieri still has one more season after this.

I'm pretty sure this team is better with Martin on IR. Not just because of the play tonight. Just saying. If I cared enough at the moment I would look it up. |

Lou never should have traded for him. He should've let Martin sit in the the leafs press box and let them eat his salary. |

That should be Martin’s last game.
I don’t know how Lou is allowing Lambert to still coach this team. How do you play your 2 worst lines the last 2 minutes of a tied game? |

I am so (frank)ing disgusted with this poop.
Lowest I’ve been with this team in years.
Sad thing is if we had a decent coach, a DECENT one, not even a good one, we’d have 10 more points easily this season. |

Infuriating.
Palmieri was terrible tonight.
Mayfield was solid until he decided he was going to go full Mayfield and try to pin the puck behind our net with 30 seconds to go. Naturally two Predators easily recovered the puck and established possession
Martin was bad all night yet was rewarded with the opportunity to put the final nail in the coffin with an inexplicable decision to pass up the middle rather than just clear the puck.
Sorokin has no luck. He was screened by Pelech on the first goal and then the puck hits Mayfield's broken stick on the winner. Meanwhile there are actually idiots on X/Twitter blaming him for this
Just a brutal collapse |

He was saving his "best" guys for OT????
I hate this OT set up. Playing for the point. I hate 3 point games, even though this year its helping Islanders, so far. Im just ranting now because I woke up pissed about them losing last night. |
