Can they just smack the poop out of us and end the insanity? Is that too much to ask? |

I don't think we're all that close to Lambert's dismissal yet. My guess is, you'll see a roster tweak befiee that happens and Lou may wait until the offseason.
I'm all for the change at this point, but I think there needs to be a 'mindset' change on the ice as much as behind the bench.
There's a few guys on this team that consistently make bad decisions, take bad penalties and, in the words of Cappy, tend to be passengers. Some of these constant errors are just basic fundamental hockey mistakes as opposed to coachable moments. So we may get that change behind the bench, but certain players will continue to do stupid things at the worst times |

If they lose tonight and then manage to lose to Chicago on Friday...hoo boy, I don't know. Lou might have no choice. |

Lou has had absolutely no problem with firing a coach in the past. In fact he’s well known for doing it quickly sometimes without anyone thinking it’s coming. Like I said in an earlier post I’m shocked it hasn’t happened already. Possibly working out dollars and cents with someone else? |

I think a positive mindset comes from the belief in the staffs system and the team buying in. This of course only comes with positive results.
Barry came and the team bought into his structure and strategy because it worked consistently.
Again positive results brings confidence to a team and I just don’t think the team is confident in the system Lane and his staff are preaching. Gotta think Lou is putting out feelers.
Just my opinion of course. |

Honestly anything is possible. I don't know what to expect. He could be interviewing and/or hashing out contract details with a new coach or he could be set on riding out the season with Lambert for better or worse.
At this point I wouldn't be surprised by either. I'd be happier if Lambert were fired, but I think the issues with this team are way more than him. |

Agreed on all counts. I don’t think he’s a good coach but I’m not losing sleep over whether he’s fired now or not. Kind of wrote this season off before it started. 😂 |

Any word on Isles goalie tonight? I figure at least 2 more GA if Appleby plays. Otherwise 5- 0 is a safe bet |

As I stated earlier, I don’t think a coaching change will have a lasting impact on this team being successful. They weren’t good Barry’s last season…and missed the playoffs with pretty much the same team. |

#Isles conclude a back-to-back tonight in Winnipeg after a no-show 5-0 loss in Minnesota last night.
Expecting Ilya Sorokin to start back to back games for first time this season.
Isles have won seven straight vs. Jets by a combined 25-9.
But Jets are 16-2-2 since Dec. 2. |

Yep agree with you also. If they do fire him I’m sure the team will respond with some wins but ultimately you are correct coaching isn’t the only problem. |

That stretch of games in November and early December where they were racking up a bunch of points, although a lot were OT losses, bought the guy more time than he deserves. |

I totally believe a coaching change will make a big impact. I think the players themselves are winning without any impact from this staff.
Also the roster is much different then Barry’s last years team when you take a look at them. 2 pieces that stick out are (bad timing trade) Horvat and a maturing and blossoming Dobson. That’s an #1 Dman and great 2 way #1 center. Who’s addition has transformed the PP. Also Romanov and Reilly on the back end are improvements especially when Pulock is back. With honorable mention to Holmstrom’s play this year.
This team is still in the hunt with a poopty coach. A good coach can make a big impact just like Barry did with the disastrous roster he had when he came. |

Tonight might be the game that defines and decides their season. They got embarrassed last night, you can tell by the post game interviews. If they come out on fire and get a win, could be good. They should rested 😂 |

I hear what you’re saying and hope you’re right. But I will say the core players were two-three years younger, we had Ebs, Leddy, Toews, Bailey was still decent, and their defensive team structure was so much better. Let’s see how they respond tonight. Can’t get any worse. |

Engvall hurt Wahlstrom in. I think he called
Steve Sterling to help him with the lines. |

Lane got Cappy's blender out - PeteM
It's like he purposely tried to make the lines as ineffective as possible instead of one weaker fourth line. I know it's a back to back but now each line has a third or fourth line guy on it |
