Podz was rushed into the NHL. He should have been developed better. Not much different than Hoglander. Who after some time developing is now seeing top 6 time.

Bains had 66 AHL games last season.

I overlooked that and I actually looked. Struggling with a headache and sore eyeballs today.

January 26th will mark two years since Patrick Allvin was named Canucks General Manager, I like that they are not rushing kids into the NHL anymore, like the previous regime.

The kids they’ve (Allvin) drafted, acquired by trade, or signed as college free agents, have pretty much all been given soak time, or sent down like Pod and Hog to develop at the AHL level. The three Swedish kids at the WJC should all get more development time and that’ll help them.

No this is great for people that like to use fantasy stats as the measure of real life, I mean how can you not use made up metrics to determine how awesome or poorly a team or player is without made up fantasy totals.

I bet you’re wondering why the Avengers or some other superhero hasn’t come to save humanity from itself, fear not they are coming, just like expected or adjusted analytics has come to save the fantasy hockey fan,

- Makita

I say it every time, but I just love how you guys make it out to be all or nothing. Either you care about stats, or you're a true hockey fan. No in between.

I would like to hear what Dhaliwal considers a top 6 player, as I believe what the team needs on the 1st 2 lines is a player that is a bit abrasive, crashes the net and can pot 15 goals a season, could use a player like that on both the top 2 lines.
On the Miller line specifically, maybe someone who can be a bit of a puck distributor, as well as above mentioned. On the Pouty line, he needs someone better than 3rd liner Mikheyev
I am fine with them moving Lafferty, Hoglander, Suter and before injury, PDG in and out of those 2 lines.

- Reubenkincade

Why would a team at the top of the league move a bunch of players who have played a direct role in their success to this point? If you're going into the playoffs with the intention of winning, shouldn't you be adding to what you have instead?

One of the things PA said the other day about the prospects had me dissecting the phrasing. DPetey will be playing on the Abby Canucks at the end of the year and Makki will be coming over after his season. That had me thinking they are going to slot him in at top six and see if he is ready.

I didn't watch the game last night but heard even though they doubled the Sens it was sloppy. One thing that came to mind was the amount of games they played over the last 10 days and it was the holiday break so I give them a pass. This upcoming road trip is going to be a real eye test for the team.

Canucks have exceeded my expectations this year but now it is time for big boy hockey as teams start to make playoff pushes. I hope they do well.

The game story is that everything that possibly could was going in during the first period, then they took a nap for the rest of the game.

But you are suggesting throw them into the deep end head first. Next year look at them as bottom six and see how they adapt. If they are ready then move them up.
- VANTEL

The deep end was when they are 20 years old.

Rutherford said it is pretty rare that a player comes in without pedigree and just gets it like John Marino did.

They're 22 now. There is certainly the potential given the chance.

He is a little older and has more experience than a lot of the others. I'd guess that Aman gets back into the line up before Karlsson does. Hoglander will just get back with Miller and Boeser.

You are answering your own question here about top six. You asked earlier if there was top six talent on Abby and named three players and here you are saying one of the three you questioned will probably sit in the press box.

guess you don’t listen, I do not have a problem with stats, stats that report real actual information, the made up fantasy stats that are used to determine a team or players expected make believe status is what I will never except.

Now if you and the fake number guys want to swallow the make believe expected scenarios as the end all be all, go ahead, post to your heart’s delight, mock me a dinosaur and in turn I will mock the “the expected goals for/against say they aren’t this good bs”

I said I would try some players in the top 6. I don't run the team though do I?

Current players playing that role on that line is Hoglander and PDG.

I was laughing at "adjusted" and "expected".
If you accept those as legitimate statistics then you might want to think a bit more before laughing at and mocking people who don't believe in Dungeons & Dragons being a good predication of things to come in the hockey metaverse.
Cheers.

Why do you think Kuzmenko isn't on pace for 30 goals again this season? He did it last year.

Boeser is on pace for a career high in goals, how come he has never broken 30 before?

(These are simple btw)

Annnd there it is. Nobody has ever said it's the be all end all.

It's extra funny because apparently I have this reputation here now even though I barely look at advanced stats, I just follow Jfresh on Twitter

This statement suggests that you think you know more than the actual people running the show. Even if you are joking.

I know for a fact that Abby do not have a player currently that could make a huge difference to a top six addition. If you are talking about plugging a hole for a couple of games sure.

Canucks need to go out and find at least one more NHL top six player. Maybe next year Makki fits in but there is no one right now.

Not allowed to throw players into the deep end until next year?

If you think Hoglander is going to be the best player to come out of Abby right now. I'm scared.

Again the answer is simple but of course this was expected so it came true in your eyes. This is simple alright

He is until proven wrong.

It is throwing Makki in the deep end. The difference is he is excelling at top levels like the WJC and in a top Swedish mans league and the others are staying above water in the AHL.
