Didn’t realize that, just saw on hockeydb they had him listed as a C. If he’s playing LW then forget it. - nyrangers9479
I use hockey-reference when looking guys up cause many times guys get listed as wing but play C and vise versa. HRef has expanded stats listed so you can see more in detail. |

was at casa bonita and missed the game - how did othmann look? - Mtlca66
Surprisingly good!
Bedard played 4 mins more at 5 vs 5 than Othmann, but I think Othmann stood out more. He was quick, active and aggressive around the net. Reminded me a little bit of Frank Vatrano --- never afraid to shoot the puck.
I'm not saying in any way, Othmann is better than Bedard. However, for tonights game he was simply more noticeable! |

I don’t think there was ever a point I was concerned we were going to lose this game. Even going into it not many times I believed we had a sure win like tonight…
In saying that I can’t be the only one concerned about Fox’s play since he’s come back from injury. Seems very deliberate and just slow in all aspects. His body language even just screams,
“WTF is going on”. I hope he’s just rounding into form and doesn’t have anything lingering going on because he’s look like our worst D-man since his return which is scary. - Awolff9
Yah something looks a bit off with fox |

He doesn’t look good. Looks slow, uncomfortable/not his confident self. Very surprised no one ran Aho for what he did Tuesday night, kinda disappointed to be honest. |

Out of left field, but what about getting Jonathan Toews out of retirement? He said he was stepping away from the game to focus on his health, “but not for good”. Had 31 pts in 53 games last year and was 63% on draws. Best part is, he would cost zero assets.

He’s 35, I’m sure all he cares about is winning another cup and at his age he can’t stay away from the game for too long. |

Would u be on board with him? I’ll just bring it up the one time, but it makes sense for both sides if he really isn’t looking to fully retire which is what he said. |

I don’t understand how you could hate Kane so much, who’s a much better player at this stage, and want Toews. Theyre the same guy, winning pedigree. It can’t be because Kane doesn’t backcheck
You are one fella that is hard to figure out
The way to go is a center we can hold to for a few years, whether an older guy or younger really doesn’t matter to me. I just prefer not trading for rentals every year.
Drury should really jump through hoops to get Novak and extend him. That would be a solid move because the extension shouldn’t be more then 4 million bucks and then you just buyout Goodrow to make up for his salary and give Edstrom 4C duties |

We’re not trading anything though if we sign Toews out of retirement. They’re also 2 completely different players.
We didn’t need Kane last year, and the #1 thing for me was he was hurt. We’re giving up assets for a guy WE KNEW wasn’t 100%. What world does that make sense in? That team didn’t need another superstar (and a hurt/old one at that). We all know how his tenure here went so I’m not even going to bring that up.
Toews would be brought here to play a very specific role, shut down 3C that adds more offense than Bonino and wins draws. (Finished 63% last year and is 57% on his career). |

Toews is out of the question I would drop it haha
Hayes-because he’s still good 5on5
Novak- because he’s youngish
Ruzikca-because he’s ginormous, and young
Laughton-because he’s a glue guy
That’s kind of my wishlist |

Come TDL I think RW will be ok with Kakko, wheeler and Othmann. With more games up here Lavy could put Othmann with the big boys eventually, like last night. He made a couple of plays with them and didn’t look out of place. Or Kakko gets a chance again and would be terrific if he runs with it this time, because that is really what they need above anything else. Like I don’t think they need to go out and get a Tarasenko for example. Focus should be center and a D better/bigger then Jones, maybe even better then Gus where you make him the 7th D. |

Had him on our team for a month and just dropped him. Started off well playing C but has dropped off since moving back to wing. No thanks. |

Good morning boys, blog up in a bit. Was a little wiped after coming home from the game. Rangers won, my daughter saw here first live hockey game and she got to see Bedard, a win-win situation. Though the game honestly was kind of meh and Bedard didn't do much to stand out |

Nope. If someone talks about it I’ll joking the convo, but I won’t be the one to bring it up. |

Hawks work hard. They played well up until the rangers got those two goals early in the 3rd. Bedard is definitely scary when he has the puck, he is going to be a force like Jack Hughes. Rangers handled him pretty well I thought overall, they were very cognizant of when he was on the ice. I got Hughes 2.0 from him more then I did McDavid 2.0 if you compare the 3. Bedard is most definitely generational like they are |

All 3 locals are making the playoffs. Place your bets. Hurricanes too. The division never has a let up, and we need to win it
Isles will be real tough once they get their D back together again, and Gauthier scored AGAIN last night |

Thought the Rangers played mostly a good game. that goal against was annoying. Othmann looked like he very much belonged in the NHL.
Catching up, no more former Blackhawks with a long list of health issues. |
