We got 4 set D and not going anywhere. And 2 centers. A 3rd with scrambled brains and 2 who should probably retire. Big Ed won’t even get a chance

he is gonna do at least 3 years in Boston College he looks promising though

Fortescue is solid. Don’t think the ceiling is very high though |

gotta have patience with a young defenseman like Braden Schneider, it would be lunacy to give up on him already |

Is not about patience I want to win the cup lol and we can’t with two centers
He won’t get traded just think it’s funny how you don’t see the glaring hole at center. Walker is arguably better then Schneider at the moment |

if the problem is all the Rangers good prospects are wingers why aren't we making mock trades trading wingers for a center

I’d get yelled at for that too you know I’d trade Kakko in a heartbeat for a center, not a rental tho |

My thing with D is you can pluck guys off rosters fairly cheap as 5-6-7 D, which is what Schneider is right now. We got 4 solid guys and 2 solid pairs. You can make do with that, you simply cannot win the cup with 2 centers. It’s never been done |

They have an opportunity here to expose these guys to Michael Peca and theyre not. Edstrom should be out there, with Peca in his ear. There's no way Peca is still an assistant here next year. |

Schneider was just about put in a spot where he was going to play over 20 minutes a night if Trouba got that concussion on that Tom Wilson play
Lindgren could get hurt at any minute
trading Schneider for a center is one of those robbing Peter to pay Paul scenarios, but who knows, maybe they'll do it |

I get what you’re saying, but I think if someone calls and offers Drury I’ll give you Center A and rental D B, for Schneider…I’d have to consider that. Only because I have no idea what’s going on with Chytil. Nothing positive has come of that so I can only think the worst

To agree with you, I don't think they will because than means Zac Jones gets regular minutes. And I don't think that's something Laviolette wants. |

We can all agree that we have simply too many LWs in the organization. Its time to consider moving from our surplus to shore up our weaknesses.
Start putting Othmann into your proposals. I know it won't be popular, but thats what other teams will be looking for in a possible trade.
I saw a proposal recently:
Rangers send Kakko, Othmann, 2024 1st Rounder to Buffalo
Rangers receive RW Alex Tuch at 50% retention this year only, 2024 3rd Round pick
This solves our top line RW issue for the next 2 years at a reasonable contract and Sabres get younger and cut some payroll. It doesn't address our center problem, but its a decent deal worth consideration.... |

I don't think that can be done
I think when you do a trade with retention you have to do all the years of the contract

I think it’s easier to move one of these guys to RW then trade the good prospects we have
Cuylle should move to RW in the offseason. Training camp starts, he’s the first crack in the first line |
