If you look at the PPG % of Nylander and Pastrnak from the final 3 years of their previous contract (the one Nylander is finishing I mean) it’s bang on. Nylander simply has to finish the year the way he’s been playing it. If he tapers off so will his price.

Yeah, I wasn't gonna take it on but the guy went how many years without a single goal in the playoffs? How many stupid plays and penalties which cost the team on the way?

The only time someone can muster up an argument to say he was the only player to show up in a series he was basically on par with a couple other players...

All for the low low cost of a top 10 cap hit in the entire league.

His 3pts helped the leafs actually win a game

The only victory the leafs had was because of Marner. Had a great game.

He's not a difference maker and he shouldn't be paid a difference maker's salary. He still has, he's collected his bucks. It's time to either earn that cheque, extend at a non difference makers salary, or jog right on somewhere else.

Definitely not a scorer, he was paid 10.9 million to go a literal calendar year without a single goal on one the leagues better powerplays.

Theres unfortunately more memorable moments out there of Mr puck over the glass making a play that factored into them losing a game when it counted than there is of winning.
