the good news is that both Marner and Tavares only have 1 year left (after this season) so they should be able to trade them next year at the tdl. probably will have to retain yes.

oh for sure, both teams not in a good spot. the problem these days is that it is very difficult to trade players with big contracts. once you sign them you're stuck with them.

Oui il est capable de ce battre, mais il est bon en defensive et le PK est horrible et mettons un gars comme Justin Barron qui est pourri dans sa zone justifie pas sa place avec sa production offensive. Mais bon gauche/droite c'est plus Struble qui écoperait et il joue bien.

let him cook in the A, he should have been there last year anyway if not for all the injuries. He will work on his D coverage and learn to stop taking dumb penalties.

I expect HuGo to make a move or two at the TDL to make some space, just too many D's in the system. The left side is too crowded with Matheson, Ghule, Harris, Struble, JackEye and they have Hutson and Engstrom coming over in a few months also.

The right side with Savard, Barron, Kovacevic and Lindstrom is where they are weak, they only have Reinbacher coming over in a few months. Mailloux is still cooking in the A, still need to work on his D but looks good offensively, he is progressing, another year in the AHL might be needed.

Laval should see an influx of D's next year with Reinbacher, Engstrom and maybe Hutson.

I see JackEye as the 7th D in a few years anyway.
