Flyers had very little energy. Chalk it up to a lot of games in very little time. This game doesn’t define their season. But yeah… F Crosby

I think Danny made a good trade. Hope Drysdale hits his ceiling.

I like that Danny has been proactive and pretty bold in his moves. Showing the discipline to not leak a potential trade to the media for months and then move Cutter after his WJC performance when his value would never be higher was very smart. Making the best out of a tough situation for a new GM gives me some real confidence that Danny knows what he is doing.

Bill, please tell me this agent doesn’t represent any other Flyers/Flyers prospects.

What a poop show. Good on Danny to get the return he did.

DB made the best of a bad situation. He can’t afford to be as obtuse as Fletcher was with Kaprizov when dealing with Michkov.

Flyers fans should be over the moon with how Danny navigated a tough situation like this right out of the gate of becoming the GM. Getting maximum value when he was backed into a corner. You know if this was Fletcher this would have been royally screwed up. Probably wouldn't have even felt like dealing with it.

Briere made the most out of a crap situation.

I agree with everyone. This is very encouraging that Danny could keep this under wraps and get, on the surface, a fair deal, which includes an organizational weakness/need. Also, the 2nd rounder, while not until 2025, could prove to be high. ANA is still young and bottom feeders.

Of course, time will tell if this was a good trade. Injuries, play, and team success will all be (fair or not) what we use to determine a winner.

Speaking of winning, the team is currently nose diving. Let’s see if the trade can spark them because they are looking like sellers.

Finally, I don’t like a player not wanting to come play in Philly. I wonder why, but more importantly, I wonder if the reason will deter other FAs and prospects. Probably not, but I hope Danny and the other management team are thinking hard about this.

So watching some game highlights from anaheim and...the Flyers D coach has his work cut out for him Definitely see the top notch skating...he's the flyers best skater he's york on steroids in that aspect. Not seeing much else he hasn't played a lot of hockey lately but looks like a worthwhile project. This looks like quite the reach to expect him to be a #1, he does look top 4 worthy.

Who would have expected Cutter "I'm the total package" Gauthier to turn out to be a total dbag?!

So this has to push up the timeline on a walker and/or seeler trade no? Carrying 8 dmen and you want to keep playing zamula.

I’m throwing salt over my shoulder, wearing the same socks until it happens, and praying to all the gods that it’s Risto.

Since it won’t be, I would have preferred to wait until the TDL to package one of these Dmen with another asset, but I guess here we are.

Kevin Fing Hayes?!

Is this real?

Hayes denies it saying you don’t have a brain if you believe that.

Morning Bill. I know this trade just happened but reading some things this morning about Kevin Hayes getting in Cutter’s ear about not playing for the Flyers. Any truth ? I mean players talk obviously. Also, didn’t Hayes do the same thing to the Blackhawks. Stayed at BU and Chicago lost his rights?

When a trade is announced and people think it is fake accounts reporting you know it’s not good.

Rangers, Devils, Penguins fans are all ecstatic about this.

Ton of pressure on Drysdalw to be really good.

With Drysdale and Hathaway on the roster, can sponsorship from the Commerce Bank of Beverly Hills be far behind?

id be surprised if it had anything to do with torts. He has never played for him ,and totally ghosted flyers management....to blame a coach he has never played for to ghost the team would seem pretty strange.

Well if Hayes put a bug in his ear about Torts, Cutter may wanted to take an easier path.

If Hayes did talk to Cutter and persuaded him to skip out on the Flyers, isn't that a form of player interference? Doesn't MLB fine players for that?

Russ Cohen speculating that Cutter might have wanted to play center and play this year, both which the Flyers might not have had in mind.

Not that he should have ghosted the Flyers over it but that it might be why there was some bad blood.

Yeah, whatever it is it’s going to be a real bad look to sever all ties with the team that drafted you.

Speaks volumes about the kids character imo.
