Kevin Fing Hayes?!
Is this real?
https://www.crossingbroad...lved-somehow-you-bet.html
Hayes denies it saying you don’t have a brain if you believe that. - coffee junkie
Here is the deal as I see it. There was nothing out there before yesterday that I'm aware of that Gauthier didn't want to and wasn't going to play for the Flyers. Nothing leaked. With the number of rabid hockey fans on here, if there was something out there on social media or anywhere, someone would've posted it. If I'm not mistaken, it was a shock to all of us. Now overnight, ASF knows why Gauthier didn't want to play here and it was Kevin Hayes who got in his ear? Maybe so but right now, doesn't pass the smell test. Seems like a "I want to be first to write this" article. |

Does make Walker more available |

1how the mighty have fallen. What was once arguably the best organization in the NHL now has been reduced to one of their top draft choices not wanting to be here.
Wonder if they will hire an outside consulting agency to find the root cause as to why.
Kevin Hayes as a scapegoat' is pure entertainment. Really hope Cutter and is agent comment though not counting on it. |

flyers 100% want to bring him back. So we shall if they convince him to stay. |

Michkov seems thrilled to become a Flyer. So does every other Flyers prospect by all accounts. This is a Cutter problem much more than it’s a Flyers problem.
Hell, the deal is already done and Danny made a fantastic trade given the circumstances. Good luck Cutter I guess. He’s got a long road ahead of him to prove he isn’t’ the selfish brat he very much seems to be. |

I agree. Not at all a fan of Hilferty or with Jones in this role but I agree with them on this. If Gauthier doesn't want to play for the Flyers, screw him. |

Hayes denies it saying you don’t have a brain if you believe that. - coffee junkie I'm tellin ya, this is the 5 alarm fire. You know Hayes hated it here last year and he was looking after his fellow Mass boy. TK took his benching last year like a man while Hayes took it like the little pansie that he is. |

Really is amazing that the top prospect in the organization is traded for a player 75% of fans have never heard of. This while the team is being poop pumped by the Penguins. Unreal really even for them. |

Sanheim said -- not in so many words but by strong implication -- that the other Flyers players hadn't taken kindly to Gauthier not coming to Development Camp because it's an expectation on prospects that they attend if at all possible.
I told you something was off. 19 year old players don't skip a chance to practice with the NHL club, especially a player that wants to get to the NHL as fast as possible like Gauthier expressed. |

The fact this kid was willing to do this and look like a spoiled brat is hard to believe. If he’s willing to go play in obscurity for a franchise that no one cares about is unbelievable. So basically he is willing to play for any franchise other than the Flyers? Is that what this means? |

This came out last night, the first I heard of this was on Snow the Goalie. As soon as I heard Gauthier was best friends with Hayes, it all made sense. it absolutely passes the smell test now for me. |

Final note: Briere twice referred to Gauthier as a left winger -- keep in mind that the Flyers drafted him with the intention of developing him as a center, and he moved from the wing to the middle as a freshman at BC last year and then for Team USA this year (after playing LW at the WJC and Worlds last year).
I told you Gauthier was a winger. I will bet you when he does play in the NHL he will be a winger. |

What makes you think he will play for Anaheim? Maybe Gauthier forces them to make a trade also. I wonder if the Anaheim camp had any better luck contacting Gauthier before the trade was consummated? |

Who would have expected Cutter "I'm the total package" Gauthier to turn out to be a total dbag?!
😂 - Tomahawk
I can't wait for his first game against the Flyers, I hope Sanheim checks him through the boards. |

Well if Hayes put a bug in his ear about Torts, Cutter may wanted to take an easier path.
If Hayes did talk to Cutter and persuaded him to skip out on the Flyers, isn't that a form of player interference? Doesn't MLB fine players for that? - WhiskeyMan
It's possible that it wasn't about Torts and more about unhappiness with how the organization has been run...you know the things the fans have been complaining about for years. Coaches don't have lifetime contracts, so to ghost a team because of a coach could be career suicide. Who knows who will be the coach in 2 years for Anaheim or whoever he plays for when he makes it to the NHL.

both parties come off looking bad. IMO much worse for the flyers. What about this new culture they brag about .... |

The way it sounds to me is Cutter didn't have a say in it at all, Anaheim just had the better deal. And if it's true they did talk to many teams about Cutter, it kind of says a lot they didn't pounce on it with better offers...kind of shows what those teams think of Cutter.

Hayes felt wildly disrespected here, so why wouldn't he have a vendetta against the Flyers organization.
