So getting away from the bullpoop because it is bullpoop and I’m still pissed! Anyone hear Drysdale talk? Sounds like him and Sanheim are officially a pair. He was friends with York and Laughton prior to the deal. Anything else stand out? He’s more man to man than a zone player.

I heard the interview. He seems like a bright kid. He said all the right things. I hope he lives up to his potential.

You know, it's difficult for you to have a conversation without taking a shot, isn't it?

The Flyers own his draft rights. If I was them, I would exhaust all opportunity before moving on. I seriously doubt that the Flyers were calling him every other day. Briere stated that they gave Gauthier his space. Believe it or don't.

- MJL

agreed, almost makes me wish they kept him and didnt trade him for another year, keep him in college.

If cutter wanted to get signed to burn a year off his entry deal last year. You think he would've been fine if he was sent to the AHL? Guessing that wouldve been huge drama. I am done with Cutter, looking forward to drysdale time. Hoping he can hit his ceiling with Brad Shaw

That wasn't a shot. More like a wink. Though if it was a shot, it would have been well deserved. Now, that is a shot.

Ok chill.

So, gave him space, and then sent two HOF players* unannounced to talk with him at the same time?

I never did believe the Flyers version, and now that I have seen the KO sports organization, my suspicion is strengthened. This protracted ghosting .... just seems too unprofessional and amateurish.

I understand you have a different take on matters, which is fine.

His father was a pro hockey player Sean Gauthier - goalie who had a cup of coffee in the NHL in California with the Sharks.
He was born in Sweden when his father was playing there.

Considering his heritage as a pro players son, do you think his father had any input as to his conduct in all this?

Does anyone remember the stipulations to Brayden Schenn’s rookie deal that kept him with the Phantoms?

I would ask SSB.

A player that is signed to a contract with another NHL team can't get involved in any way, informal or formal with a player who is the draft property of another team.
- MJL

Ok..I have seen lots of wedding pics from the summer of players from multiple teams getting married and having their buddies there from other teams. Is that a different scenario?

I am not sure I am understanding what you are meaning.

This takes me back to the draft in 2023. Knowing what the Flyers knew going into the draft, I really wish they would have drafted Gabe Perreault at #22.

Okay, so remember this next time you get bent out of shape when someone says something to you that you don't like. Remember, it's just a wink and if you think it's a shot, you deserve it.

Take your own advice and chill.

Oh my goodness how egregious and pestering. Tell me before Sharp and LeClair went to visit him. How much time had elapsed between the previous time the Flyers tried to contact them?

It doesn't seem unprofessional or amateurish. It is!

Neither of those two players are hall of fame caliber players. That's also irrelevant. That's not a shot, just a wink.

Quite so. The other poster suggested the possibility of since Hayes is friends with Gauthier, that the Flyers could've used Hayes as a 3rd party intermediary to talk to Gauthier.

Hopefully Michkov still wants to be a Flyer in three years.

I like Torts just fine but not when he’s having one of his moody pressers. The media is asking about Drysdale. Why would anyone by surprise by this? On paper we just got better.

I'm confident this organization can go three years* without inventing some fantastic way of dropping the ball.

"I do believe ... at the end of his season last year in school, there was a conversation about turning pro, and from what I understand, (the Flyers) couldn't do it at the time because his bonuses would have put them over the cap, and they didn't want there to be an overage this year," Friedman said while making an appearance on the Jeff Marek Show.

that is pure incompetence if true.

Probably several reasons why and maybe this one put him over the edge.

In my recollection nobody was happy with what Lindros did. I didn’t like it, but as a Flyers fan I was pretty excited that he was coming here. In hindsight it might have worked out better for both if it never happened.

I was EXTREMELY happy what lindros did. And don’t blame him at. If anything he should’ve came right out and said why he had change of heart about playing in Quebec. The owner was a sick bastard and trying to (frank) Eric’s mom. I mean creepy. Yeah lindros was dead right to blast Quebec

As I said, at the time people were pretty put off by Lindros refusing to sign with the team that drafted him. I was put off by it too, but happy to have him on the Flyers. I didn’t and don’t know anything about the owner wanting to f his mom. I just googled it and saw something about Lindros not wanting to go there because the owner had been accused of sexual harassment by a female colleague.

That part about his Mom ranks right up there with Lindros sleeping with Brind'Amour's wife. It's amazing the stuff people will buy.
