That part about his Mom ranks right up there with Lindros sleeping with Brind'Amour's wife. It's amazing the stuff people will buy.

First I heard of any of this. The article I found seemed to be fairly recent and didn’t say anything about Eric’s mom. Ha ha

Dreger believes Zegras is on the trade block. Seems like Verbeek really wants to reshape roster.

A bonus overage due to using the bonus cushion. Which doesn't make a lot of sense to me since the Flyers have a bonus overage this season on the cap of $1,187,500.

Good on Danny for getting a promising young rhd and a second rounder for a player who had no intention of signing here. Still get a second rounder as if he didn’t but like the addition of a d man.

Ok..I have seen lots of wedding pics from the summer of players from multiple teams getting married and having their buddies there from other teams. Is that a different scenario?

I am not sure I am understanding what you are meaning.

Its ok. He doesn't either.
1. If it was true, the rumors about Hayes influencing Cutter not to stay with Flyers would have been even more of a violation. Did you see any site bringing that up?
2. Players informally not just talk but persuade other players with different teams to sign with their own teams all the time. Voracek (under contract with us) told Neuvirth (then with Buffalo) to sign with us.
3. Imagine having a rule that allowed players to mingle socially (such as weddings) but not discuss professional matters at such venues. How exactly would this rule be enforced?
4. Here, all Hayes would have done is ask the kid what was wrong. Informally. With the full acquiesence of Flyers brass. You can even formally talk to a player you are interested in if the player's team gives permission, as would be the case here. Who exactly would be the injured party here the rule would be designed to protect?

He just wants your (and especially mine) attention in lieu of his transparently desperate need for therapy. And will do anything to attain that. Just ignore him. Let him jaw in perpetuity with JD250, who has a heart of gold, and admirable forbearance.

Regardless of anything else that’ll be spilled about this deal, it’s quite something that the kid didn’t even have the time of day to meet the GM and President of the team that drafted you after they flew all the way to Sweden to meet with you. I don’t know what’s going on in his head, but that’s pretty low and immature on Gauthier’s part. Possible red flags about his character crop up when I hear this.

Anyone ever open the bottle of the purex or tide fabric softener crystals? Well they are only 3/4 of the way full. So I open another bottle fill up the bottle I am gonna buy.

Is that wrong?

- hello it's me 2050

That would be technically shoplifting. It depends on what your definition of wrong is. But you could definitely be charged for it. 😀

Little doubt in my mind he’ll be one of those players that ends up bouncing around from team to team on FA deals his entire career. That or he’ll demand a deal that cripples the roster around him. Good riddance.

Obviously, you're the guy who doesn't understand. There is a major difference between a player who is friends with a player who is a UFA and is free to negotiate with any team. Talking to that player and campaigning for him to come to their team. Happens quite frequently. Versus what you suggested. Which is that Hayes, who is under contract with the St. Louis and due to his connection with Gauthier, who is property of the Flyers, act as an intermediary and talk to Gauthier on the Flyers behalf. That would most definitely be against the rules. What's not against the rules is two buddies talking and one relaying his experience of playing for the Flyers and giving that player some advice. That's not what you were suggesting however and if need be, I'll link to that.
You also weren't talking about two players at a social event, talking about matters either. Also not against the rules.

It's interesting, I was interacting with you in good faith and without any malice whatsoever. You couldn't handle those simple responses of normal conversation though. It simply got to you over time. Then you took your shot, which you called a wink and now here you are suggesting that I need therapy. Clearly, it's obvious who does.

Gauthier can do what he wants. However, he is going to look incredibly immature by using social as a passive, agressive mechanism. Just make a statement and move on. This path he is choosing is not going to make his life easier.

This kid is not mentally ready for the NHL. Glad he’s not our problem anymore.

id be surprised if it had anything to do with torts. He has never played for him ,and totally ghosted flyers management....to blame a coach he has never played for to ghost the team would seem pretty strange.
- bradster

There is a reputation there. I've never played for Torts and I know of said reputation. It's not like players disliking Torts it's a secret.

Friedman with a little more information. Not making Gauthier looking very mature. What a bizarre situation.

Not sure if this was discussd yet but does this put briere is a position of strength as far as trading away a Dman?
Someone has to go but does that give DB leverage?

He’s got a lot, no, a ton of growing up to do. Cutting off all contact over that is absolutely absurd. Anaheim will be walking on eggshells around this kid for the foreseeable future.

All the talent in the world doesn’t excuse having little between the ears. Danny pulled off a hell of a trade to make this someone else’s problem, get a top flight RH D prospect and get a 2nd round pick.

I think the leverage that he has with two defenseman on expiring contracts hasn't changed. What they can get for those players really depends on the interest and how many teams are bidding against each other. It doesn't add any leverage for the one defenseman I really want them to trade though, unfortunately.
