Desmith solid and no points Horvat.
Bo was probably busy thinking about his dogs.

Horvat probably wishes he was making 5.5 million and playing for the Canucks. |

Thanks NyN.
Appreciate your work here.
Another game. Another W.
Scoring from the D makes such a difference.
It feels like our backend scored a bunch earlier this year and then kinda dried up, before yesterday obviously.
I wonder if this partially explains the drop in PP scoring. Too lazy to look it up mind you.
Anyways.
Onto the next one. |

York Newbury: Another day, another win - York Newbury
Thank you York, nice recap, keep up the good work.
To your question: Gotta go check out preseason predictions to see how many of us had that…
Thanks for doing this again Makita, I appreciate how you deal with those of us who are realistic, like myself
CANUCKS
Edmonton
Vegas
Kraken
Kings
Flames
Ducks
Sharks
Those that don't cheer for the Canucks to finish at the top, aren't real fans.

Thanks Yorkmeister. If you'd have told me early in the season that I'd be reading an article, written by you, that quoted Myers without some slight afterwards....I'd have thought you were crazy. Yet here we are. Chaos Giraffe tamed and some excellent blogs.
Life has a dark humor sometimes. Keep up the good work buddy. |

I try and leave my personal grudges at the door
He's definitely played less bad recently, all credit to the coaching staff |

I think the two of us were the only supporters of Myers through thick and thin, just goes to show how reactive people are, and not understanding the nuances of team hockey…much the same way Pettersson is maligned and now a talented player, or Kman stupid comments on Hronek. - Makita
You may be right.
I definitely felt the blame was laid on a bit thick at times, but he was also glaringly horrible in some instances.
He’s played much better with improved line mates and more favourable matchups.
I wonder what it would take to resign him?

There was people against Myers at the beginning and there was people standing behind him. He was bad at the beginning and so was Joulsen. Big Z has helped Myers for sure. Now the team is playing the way the fans want from their team.
Loadie was definitely in his corner but at the same time very much against Garland. We all have had years of let down and had our whipping boys. I remember a lot of disdain thrown at JTM.
Sit back enjoy the winning. I see Tessier on X and he is a little giggly about the Jets. Nice to see two Canadian teams stepping up. |

Supporting Myers took intestinal fortitude against the grain. Fans railed against him for his cap hit & his gaffs for decent reasons. It was on him not coaches when paid 6m. He has dug himself out of the fans doghouse.
As for Petey fans can ask for & expect more when he was in a sizeable funk. Him wanting to win was aligned with fans wanting the same. Nobody is above criticism & it doesn’t mean it was unreasonable. He has played himself outta it & earned his due. Nobody in here claimed he wasn’t talented nor not wanting him to get paid after earning it. For me I wasn’t nor never was going to offer more than 12.5% cap unless a max 8yrs.
Kman is simply envious but he’s a reasonable hockey fan albeit too bad he’s a Flamer lol. He’s a good guy.
It’s those fans who only whine & complain all of the time & never change their stripes cuz either stubborn or thick headed or cannot get past the past & hold onto it as if it matters in the now. This never won a cup bs is for losers if they cannot appreciate & enjoy success in any form. Those fans can quit on the Canucks & move along & jump on other wagons like the entitled quitters they are.
Ok back to the now….

I prefer 2/3m if possible. Team friendly unless going for a big fish that would sign. Pesce. That said the cap implications are difficult. So much will come down to how much savings can be squeezed from signings Petey & Hronek so others can be resigned. I’d like all UFA’s back with maybe Cole moving on. |

@Vantel
You led the pack to buyout OEL asap & you also don’t worry about cap compliance nor do I. 2025 will be a big challenge for PA to sustain what he has started. Good odds the prospects will be helping the cap cause. |
